OIL CITY, Pa. – Aaron Park threw a two-hit shutout and also drove in two runs while scoring three times to lead visiting Brookville to a 12-0, five-inning win over Oil City.

Park struck out eight and walked only one while needing 71 pitches to get through his five innings to get the win. He was also 2-for-3 at the plate with a double.
Dane Lyle chipped in three RBIs for the Raiders going 2-for-3, while Chase Palmer was 2-for-3 with an RBI and Seth Dunkle 1-for-3 with three runs scored.
Sawyer Manning and Colby Rybath had the hits for Oil City.
CLARION 2, NORTH CLARION 0
SHIPPENVILLE, Pa. – Skylar Rhoades tossed a three-hit shutout, as Clarion topped visiting North Clarion, 2-0, at the Clarion County Park.
Rhoades needed 95 pitches to get through seven innings. He didn’t walk a batter and struck out six.
He helped his own caused going 2-for-3 with a triple and a run scored. Drew Whren and Cam Craig were both 2-for-3 with RBIs.
Matson Higgins pitched well in the loss going six innings allowing two runs, one earned, on seven hits and a hit batter while striking out three. He also had one of the Wolves three hits.
A-C VALLEY 12, UNION 8
RIMERSBURG, Pa. – A five-run fifth innings helped visiting A-C Valley claim a 12-8 win over Union.
Luke Whitcomb had a bases-loaded, bases-clearing double in the fifth for the Falcons to give them a 10-8 lead after Matt Thompson’s two-run single had brought A-C Valley within a run, 8-7.
Thompson also added a triple and was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored.
Whitcomb was 2-for-4 with a walk and three RBIs, Lucas Larimore was 4-for-5 with an RBI and two runs scored, Tony Thompson was 2-for-5 with a run scored, Jeff Ginn added a hit, two walks and two RBIs and Riley Bauer was 2-for-5 with a run scored and two RBIs.
Whitcomb got the win going five innings allowing eight runs, seven earned, on nine hits and four walks while striking out three. Broc Weigle threw two scoreless innings of relief walking and striking out six.
Lucas Bowser and Luke Salvo both had doubles for Union with Salvo also walking and driving in three runs and Bower driving in one.
Reice Saylor was 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored for the Golden Knights with Karter Vogle going 2-for-4 with two runs scored and Isaac Yoder 1-for-2 with two walks, two runs scored and an RBI.
Saylor took the loss going 4 ⅔ innings allowing 10 runs, nine earned, on 12 hits and three walks while striking out seven.
CRANBERRY SWEEPS FOREST AREA
KNOX, Pa. – In a doubleheader that was moved twice in one day, Cranberry swept past Forest Area in a doubleheader at Keystone High School winning by scores of 13-3 in five innings and 11-1 in five innings.
The games were originally set for East Forest High School but were moved in the morning to Cranberry because of field conditions at East Forest. But an early afternoon rainstorm made Cranberry’s field unplayable. Cranberry manager Pat Irwin and Cranberry athletic director Brad Earp where then able to get the game moved to Keystone, where Irwin’s dad, Bill Irwin, is the athletic director.
It was worth the trouble for the Berries.
In the first game, Trevor Gladin and Tommy Flinspach both drove in three runs.
Gladin was 3-for-4 with three doubles and two runs scored with Flinspach going 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored.
Also for Cranberry, Shay Harry was 3-for-4 with three runs scored and an RBI, Brandon Forrest was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI and Trevin Chittester was 2-for-2 with a run scored and an RBI.
Anthony Smith was 1-for-2 with a run scored for Forest Area.
In Game Two, Gladin drove in a pair of runs with Harry going 2-for-2 with two runs scored and Forrest 1-for-2 with three runs scored for the Berries.
Dillon DiCorpo was 1-for-1 with a run scored for Forest Area.
REDBANK VALLEY SWEEPS KEYSTONE
HAWTHORN, Pa. – Redbank Valley swept a doubleheader from visiting Keystone winning the first game 16-11 and the second game 6-3 in a game called after six innings because of darkness.
IN the first game, Kobe Bonanno and Jimmy Gundlach each drove in four runs with Logan Wadding driving in three.
Bonanno was 3-for-3 with a double, a walk and four runs scored with Gundlach going 1-for-4.
Bryan Layton added a pair of doubles for the Bulldogs while going 3-for-3 with two walks and four runs scored, Grayson Harman was 2-for-3 with two walks, three runs scored and an RBI, Logan Wadding was 2-for-4 with a run scored and three RBIs and Nick Smith was 1-for-3 with a walk, an RBI and two runs scored.
Tyler Elder paced Keystone going 2-for-5 with a double and four RBIs. Logan Sell was 2-for-2 with a walk, an RBI and three runs scored and Corey Rapp was 3-for-3 with a double, a walk, three runs scored and three RBIs.
Redbank Valley used four pitchers in the win.
Harmon pitched two scoreless striking out two. Smith was tagged for eight runs, one earned, on five hits and four walks while striking out two in 2 ⅔ innings. Bonanno went two innings allowing three runs on a hit and four walks while striking out four and Blaney Brooks worked a ⅓ of an inning striking out one.
Andrew Lauer took the loss allowing 10 runs, four earned, on six hits and four walks while striking out one in two innings of work.
Brooks pitched well in the second game for Redbank Valley throwing a six-inning complete game allowing three runs on five hits and three walks while striking out six.
Harman was the offensive hero going 3-for-4 with a home run, two doubles and five RBIs. Smith was 2-for-3 with a double, a walk and two runs scored.
Dawson Steele was 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs for Keystone.
Troy Johnson took the loss going three innings allowing five runs, two earned, on three hits and two walks while striking out three.
PUNXSUTAWNEY 7, INDIANA 1
INDIANA, Pa. – Isaac Stouffer and Derek Huey combined on a two-hitter, as visiting Punxsutawney beat Indiana, 7-1.
Stouffer went five innings allowing one run on two hits and a walk while striking out four. Huey pitched two scoreless innings of relief striking out one.
Tyler Richardson led the offense going 3-for-4 with a double, a run scored and four RBIs. Stouffer helped himself by going 2-for-3 with two RBIs, and Andrew Britton was 2-for-4 with two runs scored.
ELK COUNTY CATHOLIC 6, DUBOIS CENTRAL CATHOLIC 2
ST. MARYS, Pa. – Brady Schneider tossed a four-hitter to give Elk County Catholic a 6-2 win over visiting DuBois Central Catholic.
Schneider, who walked two and struck out one, gave up two earned runs.
Alec Wehler had a pair of RBIs in the win for the Crusaders with Will Uberti going 2-for-3 with a walk and two runs scored.
Brandon Walker had a double and a run scored for DCC.
Anthony Kness suffered the loss going 4 ⅔ innings giving up six runs on six hits and three walks while striking out one.
SMETHPORT 4, CAMERON COUNTY 3
SMETHPORT, Pa. – A bases-loaded walk followed by a bases-loaded hit by pitch helped Smethport break a 2-all tie in the bottom of the sixth on its way to a 4-3 win over Cameron County.
Orion Alexis walked with the bases loaded to break the tie, and then Parker Shonts was hit by a pitch driving in a second run.
That second one was important when Cameron County got a run back in the top of the seventh on a wild pitch that also moved the tying run to second. But Nate Hollowell struck out Adam Streich to end the game.
Hollowell got the save going ⅔ of an inning walking one and striking out two. Matt Stratton got the win going 6 ⅓ innings before hitting 100 pitches. He allowed three runs, one earned, on five hits and two walks while striking out five.
Blake Kinner scored a pair of runs in the win for the Hubbers.
Adam Shaffer took the loss going 5 ⅔ innings giving up four runs on four hits, three walks and a hit batter while striking out seven. Ty Baur hit a batter and walked a batter – the two runs that scored for Smethport in the sixth – while Marcus Brown got the final out in the sixth.
PHILIPSBURG-OSCEOLA 7, CLEARFIELD 1
PHILIPSBURG, Pa. – Josh Earnest had a triple and three RBIs to lead Philipsburg-Osceola to a 7-1 win over visiting Clearfield.
Ryan Whitehead got the complete-game win needing just 82 pitches. He allowed one run on five hits while striking out two.
Reese Wilson tripled and scored for Clearfield, Nathan Barr had the RBI and Eli Glass doubled.
Hunter Hipps took the loss going 4 ⅓ innings allowing four runs on seven hits and three walks. He struck out one.
