KEYSTONE PASSES OVER EAST JUNIATA

WEEK 6

 

KNOX - Keystone's Adam Black put in another stellar performance, and Keystone had two 100-yard receivers and a 100-yard rusher, as the Panthers continued to prove its legitimacy by beating District 3 opponent East Juniata 49-6 Friday night.

Black led the "K-Gun" offense by going 20-of-32 passing for 341 yards, throwing five touchdowns and one interception. He accomplished all that in two and a half quarters of play.

Patrick Irwin led the Panthers (4-2) with 103 yards on seven receptions and one touchdown of 18 yards. Billy Colwell had 101 yards on just three receptions including a 75-yard touchdown. Kurt Carnahan led all receivers with two touchdowns, which were from 10 and 24 yards. Buck Neely also contributed with a 30-yard TD catch.

The double barrel of the "K-Gun" offense was running back Chris Metcalf, who gained 100 yards on only nine carries and ran for a 15-yard touchdown. He also kicked seven extra points.  Dave Van Dyke added a 3-yard touchdown for the Panthers.

For the game Keystone gained 549 total yards.

Defensively, Jared Griebel stood out with two interceptions.
