BRADFORD AREA HIRES ACKERMAN AS NEW HEAD FOOTBALL COACH

BRADFORD – Both the Bradford Era and Olean (NY) Times-Herald reported Tuesday that Bradford Area hired Steve Ackerman as the Owls new football coach at Monday (April 9) night’s school board meeting.

Ackerman replaces Tim Walter, the school’s athletic director, who, according to the Bradford Era, stepped down last month to concentrate on his duties as AD.

The Bradford Era said that Ackerman had been an assistant coach under Walter since 1995, and he was key member of the coaching staff that helped guide the Owls to a 9-3 record at the District 9 Class AAA championship this past fall.
