BROCKWAY – Fifth-seeded Brookville’s remarkable run in the District 9 Class AA playoffs continued with a 21-20 upset of top-seeded Brockway, the two-time defending champions, Friday night in Brockway.

Nick Heschke’s 2-yard scoring run and Brad Brocious’ extra point with 9:37 left in the game proved to be the difference for Brookville (5-6) which entered the playoffs at 3-6 but has won two straight.

The Raiders, who started the year 0-3 and 1-5 have now won four of their five games, will now play Redbank Valley, a 35-14 winner over Karns City, in the District 9 Class AA championship game at 7 p.m. Saturday at Clarion University’s Memorial Stadium.

The Rovers took a 6-point lead with 3:50 left in the third quarter on a 2-yard Donlin run, but the extra point was missed.
