ST. MARYS 49, RIDGWAY 32

ST. MARYS – In an old-fashioned shoot-out, St. Marys beat Ridgway 49-32 in the season finale for both teams Friday night at St. Marys.

The Dutchmen (2-7) led 20-0 at the end of the first quarter, but Ridgway (2-8) outscored St. Marys 18-6 in the second quarter to cut the lead to 26-18. Ridgway then got an early third quarter touchdown making it 26-24 before St. Marys scored the next two touchdowns to pull away.

The game featured three 100-yard rushers, a 200-yard passing performance and 704 yards of total offense.

St. Marys had two of the 100-yard rushers with Adam Cornelio gaining 132 yards on 17 carries while scoring two touchdowns. Adam Geer added 18 carries for 108 yards and four touchdowns.

Ridgway got 113 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries from Beau Iorfido, who also caught four passes for 30 yards.

Elker quarterback Kyle Hubber was 15-for-31 passing for 224 yards and two touchdowns and ran for a score as well. Kevin Sarginger had three catches for 86 yards and both touchdowns.

In the first quarter, Geer scored on runs of 15 and 21 yards, and Scott Schatz on a 5-yard run for St. Marys.

Ridgway came back with a 14-yard Iorfido run before Cornelio answered with an 11-yard run that started a span of three touchdowns in the final 5:01 of the first half.

The Elkers got the final two touchdowns of the half scoring on passes of 42 and 4 yards from Huber to Sarginger.

Then Iorfido scored at the start of the third quarter before Geer (1-yard run) and Cornelio (37-yard run) score the next two Dutchmen touchdowns.

Huber scored on a 1-yard run before Geer finished the scoring with a 5-yard scamper.

LAKEVIEW 57, UNION 0

RIMERSBURG – Danny Van Dyke ran for 308 yards and five touchdowns to lead Lakeview to a 57-0 win over Union Friday night at Union in the season finale for both teams.

Van Dyke, who finished the season with 287 carries for 1,971 yards and 26 touchdowns, scored on runs of 23, 3, 6, 10 and 20 yards for the Sailors (7-3).

Lakeview led 18-0 at the end of the first quarter and 36-0 at halftime.

Tyler Shearer added 14 carries for 85 yards and three touchdowns for Lakeview.

Union ended the season 0-10.
