DISTRICT 9 ANNOUNCES PLAYOFF PAIRINGS |
| BROOKVILLE – The District 9 Playoff brackets are out and seven teams have entered in Class A,
five in Class AA and two in Class AAA.
CLASS A The seven Class A teams are: 1. Curwensville (9-0) 2. Clarion-Limestone (8-1) 3. Coudersport (8-1) 4. Clarion (7-2) 5. Port Allegany (6-3) 6. Smethport (6-3) 7. Elk County Catholic (5-4) Bracket With seven teams, Curwensville will get a first week bye. Elk County Catholic will visit Clarion-Limestone at 7 p.m. Friday night. Saturday at 7 p.m. Smethport will visit Coudersport and Port Allegany will be at Clarion. The semifinals will match the winner of the Port-Clarion game at Curwensville at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, and the winner of the ECC-C-L game playing the winner of the Smethport-Coudersport game at the highest seeds home field at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13. The championship game will be played either Nov. 19 or 20 at a site to be determined. CLASS AA The five Class AA teams are: 1. Brockway (8-1) 2. Redbank Valley (6-3) 3. Karns City (5-4) 4. Moniteau (5-4) 5. Brookville (3-6). Bracket With five teams, Brookville will play Moniteau in a play-in game at 7 p.m. Friday night at Moniteau. The winner of that game will play at Brockway Friday, Nov. 12, at 7 p.m., while Redbank Valley will host Karns City at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13. The championship game will be played either Nov. 19 or 20 at a site to be determined. CLASS AAA The two Class AAA teams are: 1. Clearfield (9-0) 2. Bradford (6-3) Bracket Bradford and Clearfield will play at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, at Clarion University’s Memorial Stadium in the District 9 title game. |
