CLARION TO PLAY HOME FOOTBALL GAMES AT CLARION UNIVERSITY

CLARION – The Clarion School Board recently entered into an agreement with Clarion University to allow all Clarion High School varsity football games the next two seasons to be played at Clarion University’s Memorial Stadium at a cost of $1,200 per game.

As part of the agreement, Clarion School District will also help pay a portion of the cost for Clarion University to resurface the track and Memorial Stadium. Clarion’s boys’ and girls’ track teams call the stadium home.

Memorial Stadium is located at the western edge of town on Main Street (U.S. Route 322) directly across from the Northwest Savings Bank drive-thru branch and the new Verizon Wireless Store (formerly Wilkenson Video) approximately a quarter-mile down Liberty Street from the high school. Parking is available at Memorial Stadium.

Because of the change in venue, all Clarion home games this season will begin at 7:30 p.m. instead of the traditional 7 p.m.
