QUESTION & ANSWER
Q: After losing so many key players from last year, how, if any, has your role changed this season in terms of being a team leader?
A: It has changed a lot. Last year we had guys like Cory Smith leading the team and this year myself and a couple other seniors have to step up and try to fill those shoes.

Q: Where you a little disappointed that because of Kane moving up to Class AA this year that you aren’t able to even contemplate defending your District 9 Class A title last year or are you just looking forward to the opportunity to contend for the Class AA championship?
A: Life is full of change. You just have to step up and take on new challenges that lie ahead of you.

Q: Who is a player on your team that maybe no one knows about who you think will have a breakout season this year and why?
A: I think people will find out that we had many players on the sidelines last year that will have a break out year. We had a lot of depth last year and many players are looking forward to show off their talent.

Q: Your team is coming off a heartbreaking loss to Cameron County last week. How has the mood been early this week in practice? What have you and your teammates learned from that game that you can take forward the rest of the season?
A: The mood at practice is great. Everyone is ready to strap it up again this week and play. After watching our film, we realized we need to work on the mental mistakes and that we are still on track for our team goals.

Q: What are your plans after high school?
A: I plan to major in secondary education in Earth Science at an unknown college. I would like to continue my football career if possible.
