QUESTION & ANSWER
Q: It is an old cliché in football that a team is only as good as its
offensive and defensive line. Do you take pride in knowing that what you are doing has a tremendous affect on the success of your team?
A: I take great pride in knowing that the outcome of most games is decided on the line. I like having that kind of pressure and stepping up to the challenge.

Q: As a follow up to the last question, does it ever bother you that
there aren't many stats for a lineman to pile up like a running back
or a quarterback? Or do you take satisfaction in knowing that when your team scores or a running back has a big game that you had something to
do with that?
A: It bothers me a little bit that we don't get a lot of credit stat wise but the second there's a bad week everyone blames the line. But that's our job on the line, we do the work, they (running backs/quarterbacks) get the rewards.
Q: Bradford has a tradition of great lineman. What has it been like to
follow in that tradition and to be considered one of those great
linemen?
A: I love being a part of the Bradford Owls tradition. Being able to keep the lineman tradition going on and keeping it going makes me feel that I'm doing the past lineman justice in continuing our dominance up front.
Q: You also play in the band. What kind of challenges does playing the
band and playing football present to you?
A: Playing in the band is a lot harder than it looks. There are probably 100 if not more different moves we need to memorize on the field along with 3-4 two-minute songs with different notes and volume levels. Combine this with all the different plays in football and the plays of opponents and that's a lot of things to memorize. They both take a toll on the body too. Instead of going home and resting after football practice, I go straight to a 3 hour band practice. Also after long Friday night games there's no sleeping in on Saturdays. I usually have to be back to the school for a Saturday morning practice before our all day competitions. Doing both of these keeps me going though and out of trouble.

Q: What are your plans after high school?
A: After high school, I plan on continuing my football career and going to a college which is currently still undecided. I'm thinking of majoring in math, physical training, sports management or massage.
