BELLEFONTE – In a matchup featuring a coach trying to beat one of his former players on the other sideline, the Brookville Raiders were blanked by Bellefonte 33-0 at Rogers Field Friday night.

Bellefonte is coached by Zac Wynkoop, who was Brookville head coach Chris Dworek’s first starting quarterback with the Raiders in 1996 and 1997. Wynkoop’s Red Raiders dominated Dworek’s Raiders outgaining Brookville 312-93.

Quarterback Kode Plank threw three touchdown passes and completed 13 of 20 passes for 145 yards. Running back Ian Musser scored two touchdowns on runs of 1 and 4 yards.

Brookville (1-1) got a combined 29 yards on 20 carries from Kyle Galbraith and Ethan Harmon who both ran for over 100 yards last week against Union. Raiders quarterback Garrett Weaver completed 2 of 11 passes for 38 yards.

Bellefonte (2-0) beat its second straight District 9 opponent in as many weeks. The Red Raiders rallied to beat St. Marys, 24-20, last week.

The Raiders hadn’t been shut out since Grove City beat them 28-0 at the end of the 2004 regular season. It’s the worst shutout loss since a 38-0 loss to Grove City in 2001.
