D9SPORTS.COM TO TEAM UP TWO LOCAL RADIO STATIONS AND REDZONEMEDIA.COM FOR PRESEASON KSAC COACHES FOOTBALL SHOW

Listen to the show live at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26

CLARION – D9Sports.com will team up with two local radio stations and Redzonemedia.com (www.redzonemedia.com) for the first-ever KSAC preseason football preview show featuring coaches from the league’s 10 teams from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, from the RRR Roadhouse in the Clarion Mall.

The show will be available on C-93, 92.7 FM in Clarion and on WPXZ, 104.1 FM in Punxsutawney as well as on the internet at www.redzonemedia.com.

“We are really excited about this show,” D9Sports.com co-editor Chris Rossetti said. “We think this is just another step toward providing fans in District 9 the best possible coverage of high school sports possible. And really, this is a test program. If this works well, next year we would love to expand the show to include all of District 9.”

Rossetti will be joined on air by John Biddix of WPXZ as well as Mike Kalinowski of C-93 and possibly some more guests to be announced. The show will talk about the new expanded KSAC that includes Brookville and Punxsutawney this year and will feature interviews with the KSAC coaches.

“We are really excited because we already have commitments from eight of the 10 KSAC head coaches, and we believe we have a shot to get all 10 coaches on the show,” Rossetti said. “Anytime you can get 10 football coaches all at the same place this close to the season, it really has the opportunity to be something special.

“I give John Biddix at WPXZ in Punxsutawney a lot of credit for this. He was the one that came to D9Sports.com with the idea, and we loved it. The potential for a really great show is there, and we encourage people to come to the RRR Roadhouse to here the show live or tune it in on either of the stations or on the internet.

“I would also like to thank Rick Himes at the RRR Roadhouse for agreeing to be the location host of the show. Rick’s and the Roadhouse’s commitment to D9Sports.com and District 9 athletics in general is unparalleled. Without his support and without the support of the RRR Roadhouse, a lot of what we do on the web site would not be possible.”

D9Sports.com is entering its ninth year of covering high-school athletics in District 9. The web site has had over 2 ½ million hits during that time including nearly a million in the last two years alone.
