DISTRICT 9 CLASS AAA PLAYOFFS SELECTION AND SEEDING PROCESS

·         This is not an open tournament; Two teams will play in the District 9 Championship game

·        Qualifying Criteria:

                  (a).   PIAA ranking system

                  (b). Coin Toss

                          PIAA Football ranking system:

Basic Points – “AAA” Teams

120 points for win over a class AAAA opponent

100 points for win over a class AAA opponent

80 points for win over a class AA opponent

60 points for win over a class A opponent

Power points:

Team A picks up 10 points for every win its opponent earns – PROVIDING – Team A has defeated team B.

Example:

Team A (AAAA) 4-0 defeated Team B (AAAA) 2-2 Team A receives 100 basic points plus 20 power points because Team B has 2 victories.
