COUDERSPORT – Ricky Pearsall scored three times in the final 8:51 to rally visiting Elk County Catholic to a 26-21 win over Coudersport Friday night.

The Crusaders (3-0 overall, 3-0 AML South) trailed 21-7 going to the fourth quarter but saw Pearsall, who rushed for 168 yards and four touchdowns on 26 carries, score on a pair of 1-yard runs to close the gap to 21-20 with 5:36 to play. He then gave ECC the lead on an 8-yard run with 1:22 left.

Pearsall started the scoring on a 10-yard run late in the first quarter before Coudersport tied the game with 1:39 left in the quarter on a 15-yard Tim McCusker run.

The Falcons (2-1, 2-1 AML North) then took a 13-7 halftime lead when Mitch Freeman found the end zone from 10 yards out, and Freeman’s 1-yard run with 8:07 left in the third quarter opened the lead to 21-7.

Freeman led Coudersport with 22 carries for 112 yards and the two scores, while McCusker added 35 yards on nine carries and was 7 of 10 passing for 104 yards and an interception.

Kyle Schneider was 6 of 10 passing for 89 yards for ECC.
