DUBOIS CENTRAL CATHOLIC 6, REDBANK VALLEY 1

DUBOIS, Pa. – Thomas Grecco, Noah Bloom and Justin Miknis combined on a three-hitter to lead DuBois Central Catholic to a 6-1 win over visiting Redbank Valley.

Grecco got the win going four innings allowing one run on three hits and a walk while striking out four. Bloom followed up with two innings walking three and striking out two. Miknis then finished up going one innings striking out three.

Austen Cogley and Brandon Walker had doubles for the Cardinals offense with Walker scoring a run and driving in a run and Cogley driving in three. Garret Prosper added a pair of singles, an RBI and a run scored.

Scott Toth was 1-for-2 with a double and an RBI for Redbank Valley. Bryan Layton also doubled and scored a run.

Nick Smith took the loss going four innings allowing six runs, four earned, on five hits and five walks.

MONITEAU 6, NORTH CLARION 2

BUTLER, Pa. – Hunter Fitzingo went 2-for-4 with four RBIs to lead Moniteau to a 6-2 win over visiting North Clarion at Kelly Automotive Park in Butler.

Jake Jewart was also 2-for-3 with three runs scored and an RBI for the Warriors.

Fitzingo got the win in relief going four scoreless innings. He didn’t allow a hit or a walk and struck out five,

For North Clarion, Zander Hargenrader singled and scored on an RBI single from Tyler Wolbert, while Logan Minich stole home.

Hargenrader took the loss going 5 ⅓ innings allowing six runs. He walked six and struck out three.

ELK COUNTY CATHOLIC 14, SMETHPORT 1

SMETHPORT, Pa. – Dan Stauffer went 2-for-4 with a double, a run scored and three RBIs to help visiting Elk County Catholic to a 14-1 win over Smethport.

Alex O’Neil and Nate DaCanal both added a pair of RBIs for the Crusaders with O’Neil going 1-for-2 with a run scored and DaCanal 1-for-3 with a run scored. Frank Singer was also 3-for-3 with an RBI.

Singer got the win in relief of Brady Schneider going two innings allowing an unearned run on three hits and a walk. Schneider went three innings allowing a hit and three walks while striking out six. Stauffer finished off pitching two innings striking out four.

Orion Alexis was 2-for-3 for Smethport.

Alexis took the loss going five innings allowing six runs, five earned, on eight hits and five walks while striking out two.

OSWAYO VALLEY 7, COUDERSPORT 1

SHINGLEHOUSE, Pa. – Jacob Karr went 2-for-2 with a double, a run scored and an RBI as Oswayo Valley beat visiting Coudersport, 7-1.

Three Green Wave pitchers combined to shut down the Falcons offense on six hits.

Ryan Graves got the win going five innings allowing two hits and three walks while striking out six. Gavin Babcock went 1 ⅔ innings giving up one run on four hits while striking out one. Gage Babcock got the final out.

Garrett Babcock was also 1-for-2 with a walk and two runs scored for Oswayo Valley.

Elliott Hite was 2-for-2 with an RBI to pace Coudersport.

Blake Burgett took the loss throwing three innings allowing four runs, two earned, on four hits and two walks.

CAMERON COUNTY 17, PORT ALLEGANY 11

PORT ALLEGANY, Pa. – In a slugfest, visiting Cameron County broke open a close game with a five-game sixth inning to beat Port Allegany, 17-11.

The Red Raiders were up one until putting the game away with the big sixth innings.

Brennan Guisto had a monster day for Cameron County going 5-for-5 with four RBIs and a run scored. Derek Rieder added a pair of doubles while going 3-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored. While Adam Shaffer also doubled and went 2-for-4 with three runs scored. Bryce Bauer added a triple and was 3-for-3 with five runs scored and two RBIs. Marcus Brown chipped in by scoring four times.

Howie Stuckey and Trey Stiles each had a pair of doubles for Port Allegany.

Stuckey was 3-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored and Stiles went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Tyler Lashway also drove in a pair of runs.

Adam Shaffer got the win in relief going 3 ⅔ innings allowing one hit and a walk while striking out five.

Tyler Lashway suffered the loss allowing four runs, two earned on two hits and a walk in ⅔ of an inning.

JOHNSONBURG 7, BRADFORD 4

BRADFORD, Pa. – Johnsonburg scored four times in the top of the seventh to stun Bradford, 7-4.

After the Rams tied the game on an error, Daunte Allegretto’s single put them in the lead and they added on a pair of insurance runs.

Tyler Singer was 2-for-4 to lead the Johnsonburg offense with Garret Gregori and Jacob Anderson both doubling. Gregori also had an RBI and a run scored.

Allegretto got the win in relief going 3 ⅔ innings allowing one unearned run on two hits and a walk while striking out two.

Jack Pecora was 2-for-3 with a walk and an RBI for Bradford.

Thomas Guay took the loss going 2 ⅔ innings allowing four runs, three earned, on four hits while striking out one.

CLEARFIELD 12, BROOKVILLE 2, 6 INNINGS

HYDE, Pa. — Will Myers scattered six hits over six innings while striking out eight and walking one, and was one of five players with two hits in Clearfield’s 12-2 win over Brookville via the 10-Run Rule in six innings.

Myers, Zane Morgan, Reese Wilson, Thayne Morgan and Seth Bombarder each had two hits with Myers, Wilson and Eli Glass hitting doubles. The Bison took a 7-2 lead into the bottom of the sixth before scoring five runs with two outs, ending the game.

Ben Caun hit a solo home run for the Raiders. Aaron Park singled in a run in the third inning. The Bison had 11 hits off Raiders pitchers Bryan Dworek and Dane Lyle.
