In a rematch of last year’s championship game won by Port Allegany, the Rovers left little doubt who the best team in 2017 is, as Carter Adams scored twice and Anthony Esposito, Zane Puhala, Hunter Allenbaugh, Linkin Nichols and Ryan Lin added single tallies.

Allenbaugh, who had one of the two first-half goals – Esposito had the other – chipped in three assists with Angelo Inzana, Dominic Inzana and Adams all adding helpers.

Austin Moore recorded the shutout in net.

Both teams move into the PIAA playoffs.

Brockway will play WPIAL third-place finisher Seton-LaSalle, while Port Allegany will face the WPIAL champion, either Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic or Springdale. The WPIAL title game is Friday night. Both of the PIAA playoff games are Tuesday at sites and times to be determined.
