DuBOIS — Brookville and St. Marys successfully defended their District 9 Dual Meet titles Saturday at DuBois Area High School.
The Raiders breezed to their second championship in a row and third in four years with a 56-11 rout of Redbank Valley in the Class AA finals while St. Marys beat Clearfield for the second year in a row in Class AAA, 33-22.
Next up for both teams are the PIAA Championships. The Raiders take on District 4 runner-up Montoursville Thursday at Hershey’s Giant Center.
Also Thursday, St. Marys meets District 1 champion Boyertown.

Earlier Saturday, Clarion opened with a 60-12 rout of Smethport in the preliminary round before falling to Brookville in the semifinals, 56-15. In the other semifinal, Redbank Valley avenged a regular-season loss to Brockway by beating the Bulldogs the second time around, 36-29.
