Clarion’s Wiser Honored as PSFCA District 9 Coach of the Year

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – The Pennsylvania Scholastic Football Coaches’ Association (PSFCA) recently honored Clarion Area head coach Larry Wiser as it’s District 9 Coach of the Year.

Wiser was presented the award by Pitt football coach Pat Narduzzi at the PSFCA 2018 Coaches Clinic held Feb. 15-17 in State College.

Wiser, the Eric Shick Agency District 9 Co-Coach of the Year Presented by D9Sports.com along with Brookville’s Scott Park, led the Bobcats to a 12-1 record in 2017, the District 9 Class 2A title, the KSAC Large School Title and a PIAA playoff victory over Chestnut Ridge.

A PSFCA Hall of Fame Coach (Class of 2011) with a career record of 217-94-1, this is the second time Wiser has earned the PSFCA District 9 Coach of the Year Award also receiving in after the 2009 season when the Bobcats won the District 9 Class 1A title.
