ST. MARYS 83, BROOKVILLE 57

ST. MARYS, Pa. – Led by white-hot shooting from Nathan Schneider in his 40-point outburst, St. Marys put up its second straight 80-point scoring performance at home in three nights in an 83-57 D9 League rout of Brookville..

The Dutch put up 86 points against DuBois Central Catholic at home Wednesday. Against the visiting Raiders, they jumped out to a 47-21 halftime lead with 10 of their 12 3-pointers coming in the first two quarters.

Seven different players hit threes for St. Marys with Schneider leading with three. He scored 21 points in the first half in what was a stat-sheet filling performance. He wound up going 17-for-28 from the floor, 3-for-8 from the 3-point line, with eight rebounds, five assists, five blocks and four steals.

Jared Groll was the only other Dutch player in double figures with 13 points. Cahil Parrish scored nine points and Jackson Lindemuth had eight points.

Aaron Park and Bryan Dworek reached double figures for Brookville with 16 and 10 points respectively. Park completed a double-double with 10 rebounds.

JOHNSONBURG 47, BRADFORD 41, 2 OVERTIMES

BRADFORD, Pa. – Austin Green scored 14 points to help visiting Johnsonburg fend off Bradford, 47-41, in double overtime.

Trevor Lobaugh and Tyler Singer each chipped in eight points for the Rams, who outscored the Owls 10-4 in the two overtimes combined.

Tyler Gigliotti paced Bradford with 18 points with Danny Manion adding 10 points and Deondre Terwilliger nine.

NORTH CLARION 76, CLARION 73

CLARION, Pa. – Keeven Weaver broke a 73-all tie with a basket with 14 seconds left, and visiting North Clarion went on to beat Clarion, 76-73, in a key early season KSAC North game.

North Clarion, which added a Nathan Banner free throw with three seconds to play to help seal the win, led 41-30 at halftime but was outscored 43-35 in the second half including 23-17 in the fourth quarter.

Four Wolves reached double digits led by 18 points from Banner. Kyle Mills chipped in 13 points with Weaver and Jesse Schmader each scoring 10 points. North Clarion again struggled from the line going 16 of 27 but was helped by the fact Clarion was just 15 of 27 from the charity stripe.

Cam Craig paced the Bobcats with a game-high 24 points. Austin Hummell added 14 points with Nick Frederick and Calvin German each adding nine tallies. It marked the third time Clarion has lost a game by one possession this season with three of the Bobcats four losses coming by a combined total of five points.

KEYSTONE 44, REDBANK VALLEY 33

KNOX, Pa. – Corey Rapp and Dalton Jones combined for 25 points to help Keystone knock off visiting Redbank Valley, 44-33, in KSAC South play.

Rapp led the Panthers with 13 points with Dalton Jones adding 12 points. Isaak Jones contributed nine in the win.

Logan Wadding tallied nine points for Redbank Valley with Keaton Kahle and Brock Barrett each chipping in with seven.

ELK COUNTY CATHOLIC 53, BROCKWAY 44

BROCKWAY, Pa. – Led by 11 points from Ryan Newton, Elk County Catholic used a balanced effort to pick up a 53-44 AML road win over Brockway.

Brennen Klawuhn chipped in eight points for the Crusaders with Carter Lindemuth and Alex Wehler each scoring seven.

Noah Vokes had a game-high 12 points for Brockway with Anthony Esposito adding 11 and Carter Adams eight.

TIDIOUTE CHARTER 50, SHEFFIELD 46

TIDIOUTE, Pa. – Julian Gillenwater scored 17 points to lift Tidioute Charter to a 50-46 win over visiting Sheffield.

Jared Beasey added 11 for the Bulldogs with Ryan Williams chipping in 10.

Luke Davidson had 13 points to pace Sheffield with Matt Dunham adding eight points.

CRANBERRY 72, FOREST AREA 62

SENECA, Pa. – Dan McQuaide exploded for 28 points to lift Cranberry to a 72-62 win over visiting Forest Area.

Matt McQuaide added 17 points for the Berries with Tommy Flinspach adding 12 points.

Seth Berlin had 22 points and 12 rebounds to pace Forest Area, Dillon DiCorpo had 14 points and four assists, Jarrett Kahle chipped in 13 points and Franklin Meals had eight points and seven assists.

The game was tied at 53 going to the fourth quarter before Cranberry outscored the Fires 19-9 in the last eight minutes.

KARNS CITY 60, MONITEAU 42

WEST SUNBURY, Pa. – Chase Beighley had 18 points and six assists with Nathan Waltman adding 18 points to lift visiting Karns City to a come-from-behind 60-42 win over Moniteau.

The Gremlins fell behind the Warriors, who have been known to slow the game to a snail’s pace, 17-8, at the end of a quarter and were still down 27-25 at halftime before outscoring Moniteau 35-15 in the second half including 18-4 in the fourth quarter.

Nolan Riley added nine points and eight rebounds for KC with Austin Fahlor chipping in eight points.

Ross Tenney paced Moniteau with 12 points while hitting three 3-pointers. Gage Neal and Jared Lominski each added eight points.
