ELK COUNTY CATHOLIC 10, CURWENSVILLE 8

CURWENSVILLE, Pa. – Rosina Nero and Jenna Weisner combined to drive in seven runs to help Elk County Catholic to a 10-8 road win over Curwensville.

Nero was 2-for-5 with four RBIs while Weisner went 1-for-4 with a double, a run scored and three RBIs.

Ellie Fledderman added a pair of doubles while going 2-for-3 with three runs scored for the Lady Crusaders with Sady VanAlstine going 1-for-3 with three runs scored and Maddie Taylor 2-for-3 with an RBI.

Abby Pentz was 4-for-5 with two runs scored and an RBI for Curwensville with Lauren Tozer going 3-for-4 with two doubles, a run scored and an RBI, Logan Sheeder going 2-for-5 with a double and a run scored and Mackenzie Wall doubling, scoring once and driving home two.

Michelle Gerber got the win going 4 ⅔ innings allowing seven runs, six earned, on 11 hits. Katharine Kirst picked up the save going 2 ⅓ innings allowing an unearned run on two hits and a walk while striking out one.

Joslynne Freyer took the loss giving up 10 runs, only one earned, on seven hits, seven walks and two hit batters while striking out seven.

CRANBERRY 19, A-C VALLEY 3, 6 INNINGS

WEST FREEDOM, Pa. – Cranberry belted three home runs on its way to a 19-3, six-inning win at A-C Valley.

Kaylie Bruce, Rachel McCauley and Megan Hadden all went deep for the Berries with Bruce and Hadden each adding doubles as well.

Bruce wad 4-for-5 with two runs scored and six RBIs with Hadden going 2-for-4 with a walk, two runs scored and four RBIs.

McCauley added a 2-for-2 day with a walk, two runs scored and two RBIs, Malliah Schreck was 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles, a walk and three runs scored, Maria Anderson was 4-for-4 with a walk, two runs scored and three RBIs and Andrea Watson was 3-for-5 with two runs scored and three RBIs.

Emily Wetzel hit a home run while going 1-for-2 with a walk, two runs scored and two RBIs for A-C Valley.

Watson got the win allowing three runs, two earned, on four hits, six walks and a hit batter while striking out four.

DUBOIS ROLLS IN DH SWEEP OF BRADFORD

DUBOIS, Pa. – Outscoring visiting Bradford 43-0 in two games, DuBois swept a doubleheader winning by scores of 28-0 in three innings and 15-0 in four innings.

In the 28-0 win, Maddie Smith drove in eight runs while going 4-for-5 with four runs scored to lead the Lady Beavers.

Sarah Henninger added four RBIs going 3-for-5 with four runs scored, Kaylee Sadowski tripled twice while going 2-for-4 with three runs scored and three RBIs, Mia Geer went 2-for-4 with three runs scored and two RBIs, Saige Weible was 2-for-4 with an RBI and three runs scored and Lauren Walker was 2-for-5 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored.

Meanwhile, Taylor Smith tossed a three-inning no-hitter allowing two walks while striking out four.

In the 15-0 victory, Taylor Smith went 2-for-3 with a run scored and four RBIs, Lexi Smith was 3-for-3 with a triple, three runs scored and three RBIs, Maddie Smith was 2-for-4 with an RBI and four runs scored, Abby Lecker went 1-for-2 with a double, two walks, two runs scored and two RBIs, Weible was 2-for-2 with a walk and two runs scored and Aleigha Geer was 2-for-3 with an RBI.

Aleigha Geer got the win giving up one hit, a walk and a hit batter in four innings of work. She struck out five.

Emily Warner had Bradford’s hit.

OTTO-ELDRED 7, CAMERON COUNTY 6

DUKE CENTER, Pa. – Autumn Smith and Britney Greeley each had a pair of hits to help Otto-Eldred to a 7-6 win over visiting Cameron County.

Smith was 2-for-3 with two doubles and an RBI, and Greeley was 2-for-3.

Also for the Lady Terrors Haylee Frederick and Harley VanScooter each had doubles and RBIs and Gabby Nickerson added a double.

Taylor Britton hit a pair of home runs for Cameron County while going 2-for-3 with five RBIs. Laila Smith was 2-for-3 with a home run, a double, two runs scored and an RBI.

Abby Wolfe got the win allowing six earned runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out six.

Smith took the loss giving up seven runs, three earned, on eight hits and two walks while striking out three.

CLEARFIELD 7, BELLEFONTE 1

BELLEFONTE, Pa. – Olivia Bender went 3-for-4 with a double, a run scored and five RBIs to lead visiting Clearfield to a 7-1 win over Bellefonte.

Emma Hipps was also 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored for the Lady Bison with Morgan Cheek going 2-for-4.

Hipps got the win going seven innings of four-hit ball. She allowed an unearned run while walking one and hitting one. Hipps struck out 11.

COUDERSPORT 17, OSWAYO VALLEY 4

SHINGLEHOUSE, Pa. – Shae Black went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, a walk, three runs scored and three RBIs to lead visiting Coudersport to a 17-4 win over Oswayo Valley.

Claudia Miller added a pair of doubles while going 4-for-5 with a run scored and three RBIs for the Lady Falcons with Tori Miller going 3-for-3 with two walks, three runs scored and two RBIs and Emma Saulter going 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored.

Also for Coudersport, Hope Daisley had a double, a run scored and two RBIs, Kaylee VanWhy scored twice, Chelsey Streich went 2-for-5 with a walk, two runs scored and an RBI and Paiten Whipple was 2-for-5 with a run scored an RBI.

Macey West was 2-for-5 with two runs scored for Oswayo Valley with Karina West going 2-for-3 with a walk and a run scored and Mackenzie George doubling and scoring a run.

Saulter got the win going 5 ⅔ innings allowing four runs, two earned, on seven hits and eight walks while striking out five.

KARNS CITY 15, FOREST AREA 0, 3 INNINGS

KARNS CITY, Pa. – Kate Allen and Emily Wolfe each had a pair of doubles in a 15-0, three-inning Karns City win over visiting Forest Area.

Allen went 2-for-2 with a walk, an RBI and three runs scored with Wolfe going 2-for-2 with a walk, two runs scored and an RBI.

Mackenzie Dunn was also 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored for the Lady Gremlins with Katie Neff adding a double, a walk, two runs scored and an RBI. Taylor Ekis was 2-for-2 with a walk, two runs scored and two RBIs and Logan Byers chipped in a pair of RBIs.

Byers and Mackenzie Shay combined on a three-inning no-hitter.

Byers worked two innings walking one and striking out four, while Shay struck out the side in her lone inning of work.

GALETON 10, NORTHERN POTTER 3

ULYSSES, Pa. – Jessie Evans went 2-for-3 with three RBIs and three runs scored to help visiting Galeton to a 10-3 win over Northern Potter.

Katie Pagano (1-for-3), Regan Fuller and Brielle Kalacinski each scored a pair of runs for the Lady Tigers with Kalacinski joining Maddie Sauley with an RBI.

Alyssa Burchell was 1-for-3 with an RBI for Northern Potter with Emma Kosa adding a double and an RBI.

Fuller got the win striking out 11.

CLARION 8, REDBANK VALLEY 7

CLARION, Pa. – Scoring twice in the bottom of the sixth inning, Clarion rallied for an 8-7 win over visiting Redbank Valley at Paul A. Weaver Park.

Kylee Beers singled in a run and Ava Kiser’s sacrifice fly scored Payton Simko with the go-ahead run. In the seventh, winning pitcher Kaitlyn Constantino retired Redbank Valley in order, finishing up her eight-hitter with 12 strikeouts and one walk. Four of Redbank Valley’s seven runs were unearned.

At the plate, Clarion had 13 hits led by three-hit games from Constantino and Carly Best. Tori Vega, Beers and Kiser each had two hits. Beers and Simko doubled, and Vega tripled.

Seven different Lady Bulldogs had hits, led by Teja Hageter’s 2-for-4 effort. Becca Kunselman doubled.

Down 6-3 going into the top of the sixth, the Lady Bulldogs scored four runs. Torrilynn Nelson and Brooke Holben singled in runs.

Montana Hetrick was the losing pitcher, striking out three and walking four.

MONITEAU 10, UNION 0, 5 innings

RIMERSBURG, Pa. – Courtney Stewart tossed a five-inning no-hitter for visiting Moniteau, striking out six and walking two.

Kira Marsh, Jada Zitzman and Sierra Salvo pitched for Union, combining on a nine-hitter. Marsh took the loss, walking one and striking out one in 3 1/3 innings.

ST. MARYS 6, BROOKVILLE 1

ST. MARYS, Pa. – Maura Fledderman tossed a one-hitter, striking out 12 and walking two to lead St. Marys to a 6-1 win over visiting Brookville.

Emily Vollmer singled twice and scored a run while Brianna Grotzinger doubled and scored two runs.

The lone Brookville hit came from Lauren Hergert in the first inning. She scored on a Carlie McManigle forceout grounder.

McManigle took the loss in the circle for the Lady Raiders, giving up eight hits while striking out three and walking one.

CLARION-LIMESTONE 13, KEYSTONE 5

KNOX, Pa. – Visiting Clarion-Limestone put together an 18-hit attack and beat Keystone, 13-5.

Ali Girt and Regan Husted each had three hits for the Lady Lions. Husted added a double while Karleigh Aaron doubled twice. Aaron and Megan Stahlman each had four hits and scored three runs.

The Lady Lions scored in five innings, including a six-run third inning.

In the circle, Cassidy Makray and Husted combined for the win. Makray went the first three innings, giving up two hits. Husted went the final four to notch the victory, striking out six and walking one while giving up five hits.

Jess Phillippi hit a two-run homer for Keystone.
