SHIPPENVILLE, Pa. – For the first time this season there is a new No. 1 as the Oct. 1 Allegheny Grille of Foxburg D9Sports.com Football Rankings shows Clarion ascending to the top spot after a win over No. 4 Kane and a loss by previous No. 1 Clearfield.
The Bobcats are a perfect 6-0 and are followed in the rankings by the other two unbeaten teams with Redbank Valley (6-0) coming in at No. 2 and Coudersport (5-0) coming in at No. 3. Clearfield (5-1) is now No. 4 after its loss to Bellefonte with Kane (5-1) coming in at No. 5 after its loss to Clarion.
Ridgway (5-1) remains at No. 6, Brookville (5-1) is at No. 7 again this week with Karns City (4-2) remaining at No. 8. Union/A-C Valley moves up one spot to No. 9 and Keystone (5-1) moves into the rankings for the first time this season as Smethport (4-1) drops out after its loss to Redbank Valley.
Three Top 10 matchups happen this week with Karns City traveling to Kane, Clarion heading to Ridgway, Union/A-C Valley hosting Keystone.
