BROOKVILLE 3, CURWENSVILLE 1

CURWENSVILLE, Pa. – Two early second-half goals by Brookville helped the Lady Raiders to a 3-1 win at Curwensville Saturday.

After a scoreless first half, goals by Megan Mealy and Alyana Haight in the first nine minutes of the second half to give Brookville a 2-0 lead. Jillian Taylor then made it 3-0 before Breanne Spencer scored for Curwensville.

BLACKHAWK 2, KARNS CITY 1

KARNS CITY, Pa. – Karns City dropped a 2-1 decision to visiting Blackhawk Saturday.

Brooke Stahlman scored the goal for the Lady Gremlins assisted by Olivia Rumbaugh.

ST. MARYS 4, ELK COUNTY CATHOLIC 1

ST. MARYS, Pa. – Lauren Eckert’s hat trick lifted St. Marys to a 4-1 win over Elk County Catholic Friday.

Kiria Pesce also scored for the Lady Dutch.

Michelle Gerber scored for ECC.

CENTRAL-MARTINSBURG 3, CLEARFIELD 2

MARTINSBURG, Pa. – Two Central-Martinsburg goals in a span of 2 ½ minutes late in the second half lifted the Lady Dragons to a 3-2 win over visiting Clearfield.

Alyssa Barley scored midway through the 67th minute and then assisted on the game-winning goal by Averey Black with 11 minutes left.

Clearfield led twice.

Sarah Snyder scored 1:26 into the contest off a feed from Maddie Davis before Ashley Negley scored 22 minutes later to tie the game for Central.

Emma Hipps put the Lady Bison back in front 10 minutes into the second half off a pass from Emily Shipley.

BOYS’ SOCCER

KARNS CITY 13, CLARION-LIMESTONE 1

KARNS CITY, Pa. – Karns City wrapped up its 15th consecutive Upper Allegheny Valley Soccer League Southern title with a 13-1 win over visiting Clarion-Limestone Saturday.

It is the eighth straight unbeaten league title for the Gremlins.

Among the goal scorers for Karns City were Dom Hauser, Matt Griffiths, Robbie Rumbaugh, Kade Scherer, Nate Rondinelli, Ryan Truax, Austin Fahlor and Dakota King.

KANE 2, KEYSTONE 0

KNOX, Pa. – Brennan Schultz made seven saves to help visiting Kane to a 2-0 win at Keystone Saturday.

Clayton Detrick scored on a penalty kick to give the Wolves a 1-0 lead, and then Patrick Detsch scored the second goal for Kane.

NORTHERN POTTER 8, SAYRE 0

SAYRE, Pa. – Carter Anderson’s hat trick lifted Northern Potter to an 8-0 win at Sayre.

Anderson also added an assist in the victory.

AJ Lehman added a pair of goals for the Panthers with Ezra Sprow chipping in three assists.

Tre Slawson, Foster Kosa and Andrew Perovich also scored for Northern Potter with Dakota Perkins adding two helpers.

Holden Cowburn made four saves to record the shutout.
