Player Profile: Chase Sebastian, Otto-Eldred

CHASE SEBASTIAN – JUNIOR – OTTO-ELDRED

Son of: Chad and Erica Sebastian

Sports Played: Football, Basketball, Baseball

2016-17 Highlights: Chase helped Otto-Eldred to the AML North title and its first-ever appearance in the District 9 playoffs in football. He caught one pass for 15 yards while also making 14 tackles while intercepting a team-high four passes. In baseball, he hit .216 with a team-high three home runs. He was second on the team with 16 RBIs helping the Terrors to the District 9 playoffs.He also stole nine bases and pitched 38 innings with an ERA of 3.68. He struck out 38.

Post High School Goals: He plans on going to college and play baseball.

Q&A With Chase Sebastian

D9Sports: What is your favorite sport to participate in?
CS: Baseball

D9: What is your favorite memory, moment, game from playing high school sports?
CS: It’s a close tie between playing baseball and hitting two home runs in the same game which one was a grand slam and a two-run home run against Coudersport. And my second favorite moment playing sports is winning the AML North Title in football.

D9: Why do you play high school sports?
CS :I play high school sports because it teaches me a lot of life important skills.

D9: Is there a high school player on your team or another team that you enjoy watching play? If so, why?
CS :I enjoy watching Seth Drummond in baseball because he has a textbook swing.

D9: When not playing sports I would rather (pick one) – Go to work, play video games, shop, hang out with friends, play pickup sports, go the movies
CS :When not playing sports I would rather hang out with friends.

D9: If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
CS :If I could go anywhere in the world I would go to California to go to the beach.

D9: Who has had the most influence on you as a person?
CS :The person that has the most influence on me as a person is Jerico Weitzel.

D9: What do you like most about growing up in your hometown?
CS :What I like about growing up in my hometown is being able to know everybody.

D9: What do you wish you could change about growing up in your hometown?
CS :What I wish I could change about growing up in my hometown is there is not enough competition or talent.

D9: What question do you wish I would have asked you? And what is the answer to it?
CS :What is your dream college? Answer: TCU

D9: Do you or have you had any siblings or other immediate relatives who have played high school sports?
CS :Yes, my dad played baseball and basketball and my mom who played softball and basketball and my brother who is this year going to play baseball, football and basketball.
