JACK KRUG – JUNIOR – BROOKVILLE

Son of: Tom and Courtney Krug
Sports Played: Football, Basketball, Track & Field
Family Members Playing/Played Sports: Charlie and Sam Krug and Frank, Ellie, John Paar, John Konjancic, Cameron, Abby, Calvin Grumley and Tom Krug. Dad, Tom, played on Elk County Catholic’s 1999 District 9 Class 1A basketball championship team. Cousin Calvin Grumley is the second all-time leading scorer in District 9 history and played baseball at Penn State. Cousin Cameron Grumley was a 1,000-point scorer at Clarion University.
2018-19 Highlights: Despite being limited one full game and parts of two others in football because of an injury, he still threw for 930 yards and 14 touchdowns to no interceptions while rushing for 227 yards and a touchdown. He threw for 555 yards and eight touchdowns and ran for 153 yards and a score in a Week Zero win over Bradford, and he is closing in on the school’s all-time passing record after throwing for 2,856 yards and 40 touchdowns as a freshman … In basketball, he averaged 6.8 points per game for the D9 Class 3A champion Raiders … In track, he helped Brookville secure the District 9 Class 1A title and a second-place finish at the PIAA meet. He was a member of the Raiders D9 record-setting 4×100-meter relay team that finished second in the state. He also finished third in D9 in the 200-meter dash and was also a member of the D9-winning 4×400-meter relay team while taking second in the 400-meter dash.
Post-High School Plans: He would like to play D1 Football at a well-known school and if that doesn’t work out then he would like to play D1 AA or high-level D2 ball. He would like to major in Physical Therapy

Q&A With Jack Krug

D9Sports: What is your favorite sport to participate in and why?
JK: My favorite sport is football because it comes easiest to me and I enjoy it the most.

D9Sports: What is your favorite memory, moment, game from playing high school sports?
JK: Favorite game so far has to be the Bradford game from last year because it was high scoring and a lot of trash talking.

D9Sports: Why do you play high school sports?
JK: I play high school sports to get closer with my friends while making lasting memories.

D9Sports: Who has had the most influence on your athletic career and why?
JK: The person who had the most influence on my athletic career is Johnny Manziel ( On the field).

D9Sports: If you could change one thing about high school sports, what would it be and why?
JK: If I could change one thing about high school sports I would make it were schools can’t co-op.

D9Sports: If you could be president for a day, what would be the one major thing you would do?
JK: If I was president for one day one major thing I would do is have everyone play world paintball.

D9Sports: What is your ideal place to live? County, City, Suburb? Why?
JK: My ideal place to live is the city because I like up-and-coming restaurant that our underrated.

D9Sports: What would someone who doesn’t know you be surprised to find out about you?
JK: Someone who doesn’t know me would be surprised to find out that I play video games with my friends a lot in my free time.

D9Sports: What is your strongest subject in school?
JK: My strongest subject in school is English.

D9Sports: If there was one period in history or one event in history you could go back to, what would it be?
JK: No comment.

JK: One question I wish you would’ve asked was who is your running back this year? Answer: David Cable
