VOLLEYBALL

CLARION 3, CLARION-LIMESTONE 0

CLARION, Pa. – Led by seven kills from Lexi Lauer, Clarion had four different players record at least five kills in a 3-0 (25-8, 25-18, 25-17) win over visiting Clarion-Limestone.

Maya Thornton added six kills and five digs for the Lady Cats, while Maddie Schill had five kills and Sydney Kiser five kills and three digs. Laurer completed a strong all-around match with seven aces and six digs.

Alexis Constantino led Clarion with seven digs, and Breanna Campbell had 26 set assists and three digs.

Madison Craig paced C-L with three kills and five digs with Nikki Shumaker adding 12 digs and Rachel Greeley six blocks.

KEYSTONE 3, CRANBERRY 2

SENECA, Pa. – Makenzie Byerley served for 18 points and had an ace, two assists and one kill to help visiting Keystone rally for a 3-2 (21-25, 25-19, 20-25, 25-14, 15-11) win over Cranberry.

McKenzie Hovis added 13 service points for the Lady Panthers, while Danica Hurrelbrink had seven points, two assists and a kill.

Malliah Schreck paced Cranberry with 20 kills, 19 digs and four blocks with Lauren Conkle adding 13 kills and five blocks.

Ellie Kahle had 32 digs for the Berries, and Erin Merryman ran the offense with 37 set assists while adding nine digs. Natalie Barcinas chipped in with 21 digs and five kills.

A-C VALLEY 3, MONITEAU 0

FOXBURG, Pa. – Olivia Boocks had 13 kills and 12 digs to lift A-C Valley to a 3-0 (25-11, 25-7, 25-12) win over visiting Moniteau.

Kylee Eaton added seven kills and 17 digs for the Lady Falcons with Josie Terwilliger chipping in five kills and 10 digs. Syd Rankin had 14 set assists, six digs and two kills.

Emma Bair led Moniteau with three kills and six blocks. Carolyn Kelly added seven blocks.

UNION 3, FOREST AREA 0

RIMERSBURG, Pa. – Bryn Davis and Frankee Remmick each recorded seven kills to help Union down visiting Forest Area, 3-0 (25-18, 25-10, 25-18).

Davis added four aces, as did Hannah Atzeni, who ran the offense with 17 set assists. Amy Henry had a team-best eight aces, and Marli Hawk chipped in eight digs.

COUDERSPORT 3, AUSTIN 0

COUDERSPORT, Pa. – Coudersport used a balanced effort to defeat visiting Austin, 3-0 (25-5, 25-18, 25-10).

EmmaRae Easton, Adrian Page and Jillian Updegraff each had six kills for the Lady Falcons with Shaelyn Black adding five kills.

Haley Keck ran the offense with 26 set assists and added 10 digs and seven aces.

Easton also had six aces for Coudersport with Emma Powell adding four. The Lady Falcons had 23 aces in the match.

Joplin Osgood paced the defensive effort with 18 digs, Dana Dubots added 14 digs, Keck had 10 digs and Powell eight.

Jordan Brewer had 11 set assists and an ace for Austin, while Kylee Hooftallen added three digs and two aces.

DUBOIS CENTRAL CATHOLIC 3, BROCKWAY 1

BROCKWAY, Pa. – Visiting DuBois Central Catholic earned a hard-fought 3-1 (25-22, 20-25, 26-24, 25-20) win over Brockway.

Mikayla Duffalo had 12 kills and six aces for Brockway, while Kaitlyn Morelli added eight kills and seven aces and Morgan Rendos added eight set assists and three aces.

DCC stats were not available.

ST. MARYS 3, SHEFFIELD 0

ST. MARYS, Pa. – St. Marys swept past visiting Sheffield, 3-0 (25-16, 25-20, 25-12).

Kali Tarle led St. Marys with six kills and two blocks with Bekka Bauer chipping in six kills.

Mya Grubbs had 10 set assists for Sheffield with Callen Copley adding five aces.

OTTO-ELDRED 3, SMETHPORT 0

SMETHPORT, Pa. – Camryn Thomas, Ali Cousins and Alyssa Shelander combined for 31 kills to lead visiting Otto-Eldred to a 3-0 (25-14, 25-21, 25-13) win over Smethport.

Thomas led the way with 11 kills, 10 digs, three blocks and an ace. Cousin’s had 10 kills, 15 digs and an an ace and Shelander 10 kills, eight digs and four aces. Emily Smith ran the offense with 31 set assists, seven digs and two blocks.

Abbey Woodard paced Smethport with 10 kills, four blocks and two digs. Emily Treat added a kill, six digs and four aces with Alana Durphy chipping in 16 digs and four aces and Emily Gustafson three kills, two blocks and two assists.

NORTH PENN LIBERTY 3, PORT ALLEGANY 1

PORT ALLEGANY, Pa. – – Charisma Grega had 17 kills to lead visiting North Penn Liberty to a 3-1 (23-25, 25-14, 25-18, 25-17) win over Port Allegany.

Maria Kshir added five kills and 16 set assists for the Mounties who also got 21 set assists from JoAnne McNamara.

Hannah Lathrop and Kenzie Burr each had six kills for Port Allegany with Jenna Sprankle adding 18 set assists and Erin Stauffer 47 digs.

BROOKVILLE 3, CURWENSVILLE 0

CURWENSVILLE, Pa. – Madison Batie had six kills to help visiting Brookville to a 3-0 (25-18, 25-10, 25-18) win at Curwensville.

Olivia Pearson added six blocks with Lexis Hatzinkolas chipping in five blocks.

ELK COUNTY CATHOLIC 3, KANE 2

KANE, Pa. – After taking the first two sets, Elk County Catholic had to withstand a strong Kane surge to top the home team, 3-2 (25-20, 25-23, 20-25, 21-25, 15-7).

Taylor Newton paced ECC with 18 kills and three aces, Josie Smith added 14 kills and five aces, Brianna Weisner ran the offense with 33 set assists, Brianne Ruffner chipped in three blocks and Emily Wolfe had three aces.

Trinity Clark had a big night for Kane with 22 kills, 18 digs and four aces with Ella Marconi adding 14 kills, seven blocks (five solo) and four aces. Audri Marconi chipped in with 10 kills, while Hannah Buhl earned praise from her coach with 41 set assists. Lexi Wood had 15 digs and Kendra Udovich 11 digs.

ECC stats were not available.

DUBOIS 3, PUNXSUTAWNEY 0

DUBOIS, Pa. – Behind 10 kills and four aces from Danessa Allison, DuBois swept past visiting Punxsutawney, 3-0 (25-21, 25-21, 25-23).

Lexi Ray added four kills and three blocks for the Lady Beavers with Kylee Bundy running the offense with 25 set assists. Kelli Hoffer led the defense with 17 digs.

BOYS’ SOCCER

NORTH PENN LIBERTY 3, NORTHERN POTTER 1

LIBERTY, Pa. – Luke Yoder scored a pair of first-half goals to help North Penn Liberty top visiting Northern Potter, 3-1.

Behind Yoder, the Mounties built a 3-0 lead at halftime with Nathaniel Johnson adding the third tally.

Dakota Perkins scored for Northern Potter in the 61st minute.

KARNS CITY 4, FOREST AREA 1

MARIENVILLE, Pa. – Dakota King and Nate Rondinelli each scored twice to lift Karns City to a 4-1 win at Forest Area at East Forest High School.

The Gremlins are now 2-2 on the year.

PUNXSUTAWNEY 5, KEYSTONE 1

KNOX, Pa. – Robin Wagner netted a hat trick to lead visiting Punxsutawney to a 5-1 win at Keystone.

Vincent Giggliotti and Zach Reitz also scored for the Chucks with Giggliotti’s coming on a penalty kick.

BRADFORD 2, FORT LEBOEUF 1

BRADFORD, Pa. – Colton Swanson had a goal and an assist, and Evan Schmidt stopped a penalty kick to help Bradford to a 2-1 win over visiting Fort LeBoeuf.

Swanson’s goal came on a penalty kick, and he assisted on a tally from Brent Kennedy as did Ian Grady.

Schmidt made 12 saves while allowing one goal.

Marcus Rathburn had the tally for Fort LeBoeuf with Tyler Alexander making six saves in net for the visitors.

PORT ALLEGANY 2, ELK COUNTY CATHOLIC 1

ST. MARYS, Pa. – Payton Caden and Tyler Lashway both scored to help visiting Port Allegany to a 2-1 win over Elk County Catholic.

Josh Mealy made eight saves in goal to get the victory.

Erick Mader had the lone ECC tally.

RIDGWAY 11, KANE 3

RIDGWAY, Pa. – Lukas McClain and Dominick Stage combined for five goals to lead Ridgway to an 11-3 win over visiting Kane.

McClain had the hat trick for the Elkers with all three goals coming in a seven-goal first half for Ridgway, who led 7-0 at the break. Stage added a goal in each half for the Elkers.

Aiden Zampogna, Pat Detsch and Hunter Shrubb scored for Kane.

GIRLS’ SOCCER

CLARION 1, FOREST AREA 0

CLARION, Pa. – Natalie Glenn tallied the game’s only goal, as Clarion topped visiting Forest Area, 1-0.

Wendy Beveridge recorded the shutout for the Lady Cats.

ELK COUNTY CATHOLIC 3, PORT ALLEGANY 0

ST. MARYS, Pa. – Maddie Sorg continued her hot streak netting her second straight hat trick to help Elk County Catholic down visiting Port Allegany, 3-0.

Sorg was coming off a five-goal game in a win over Kane Saturday and now has eight tallies in her last two contests.
