GIRLS’ SOCCER

RIDGWAY 3, CLARION 0

CLARION, Pa. – Madeline Cowan scored twice and Lindsey Kocjancic made a terrific save (see photo above) to help visiting Ridgway knock off Clarion, 3-0.

Cassidy King also scored for the Lady Elkers.

KANE 0, REDBANK VALLEY 0

KANE, Pa. – Kane and Redbank Valley played to a nil-nil tie.

Hannah Brown had 15 saves for Kane.

Alaina Keller was in net for the Lady Bulldogs.

BROCKWAY 3, ELK COUNTY CATHOLIC 2

BROCKWAY, Pa. – Chanell Britten scored twice, once off a penalty kick, and an assist to lead Brockway to a 3-2 win over Elk County Catholic.

Morrigan Decker had the other goal for the Lady Rovers with Callie Barber adding a helper as well.

Mackenzie Overbeck had seven saves for Brockway.

Maddie Kear scored both goals for ECC, one on a cross that hit off a Brockway defender and a second on a breakaway that was assisted by Sady VanAlstine.

KARNS CITY 3, DUBOIS 0

KARNS CITY, Pa. – Hunter Dittman scored twice, including on a header, and Brooke Stahlman also tallied a goal to give Karns City a 3-0 win over visiting DuBois.

Dittman now has eight goals in her last three games.

BOYS’ SOCCER

ST MARYS 3, COUDERSPORT 2

COUDERSPORT, Pa. – Vinnie Nunes tallied two goals as St. Marys held on to defeat Coudersport, 3-2.

Nunes and CJ McGowan scored the first two goals for St. Marys to give the Dutch a 2-0 lead heading into halftime.

Coudersport started the second half with a goal from Aristotle Smith to cut the deficit to 2-1. The Dutch responded with Nunes second goal of the game to make it 3-1. Kameron Leopold scored the last goal for the Falcons.

KARNS CITY 6, KEYSTONE 0

KARNS CITY, Pa. – Dakota King scored four times to lead Karns City to a 6-0 win over visiting Keystone.

Kaden Scherer and Brayden Christie each had two assists for the Gremlins, while Nate Rondinelli and Ryan Truax also scored, Rondinelli added an assist as did Nate Boyden.

Jake Weckerly recorded the shutout in net for Karns City.

BROCKWAY 5, ELK COUNTY CATHOLIC 1

BROCKWAY, Pa. – Zane Puhala scored four times to lead Brockway to a 5-1 win over visiting Elk County Catholic.

Hunter Allenbaugh added a goal and an assist with Marcus Bennett and Linkin Nichols each added a tally for the Rovers.

Lewis Painter got the win in net.

CLARION-LIMESTONE 9, FOREST AREA 1

STRATTANVILLE, Pa. – Kyle Schonbachler, Beau Verdill and Isaac Kim each scored two goals to lead Clarion-Limestone to a 9-1 win over visiting Forest Area.

Ryker Bingham, Jake Burns and Donovan Montgomery also scored for the Lions with Burns’ tally coming on a penalty kick and Montgomery’s on a free kick.

Verdill added a pair of assists as did Austin Coull with Schonbachler picking up a helper as well. Johannes Kuehn also had an assist for C-L.

Jarrett Kahle scored for Forest Area.

PORT ALLEGANY 2, KANE 1

PORT ALLEGANY, Pa. – Howie Stuckey’s second goal of the first half in the 33rd minute lifted Port Allegany to a 2-1 win over Kane.

Stuckey gave the Gators a 1-0 lead in the 12th minute off a Shawn McNeil feed before Patrick Detsch tied the game with a tally in the 29th minute.

Brandon Peterson got the win making seven saves for Port Allegany.

Brennan Schultz had six saves for Kane.

GALETON 2, NORTHERN POTTER 1

ULYSSES, Pa. – Galeton scored the game’s first two goals on its way to a 2-1 win at Northern Potter.

Joel Griffin scored first for the Tigers off a feed from Ty Stovers before Isaiah Shuemaker made it 2-0 unassisted late in the 22nd minute.

Northern Potter got one back early in the second half when Ezra Sprow was able to find the back of the net off a beautifully served ball sent into the box by Carter Anderson.

But the Panthers saw several shots hit off the posts and crossbar and weren’t able to get the equalizer.

Brandon Ruef made four saves for Galeton in net with Holden Cowburn making eight for Northern Potter.

VOLLEYBALL

KANE 3, JOHNSONBURG 0

JOHNSONBURG, Pa. – Audri Marconi and Ella Marconi combine for 13 kills to help Kane defeat Johnsonburg 3-0 (25-16, 25-13, 25-13).

Audri Marconi tallied seven kills, while Ella recorded six kills and seven blocks. Moria Stanisch and Kalen Johnson served five aces each and Hannah Buhl led the Lady Wolves with 12 assists.

OTTO-ELDRED 3, OSWAYO VALLEY 0

DUKES CENTER, Pa. – Led by 14 kills, 15 digs and six blocks from Harlee Van Scoter, Otto-Eldred was able to defeat visiting Oswayo Valley, 3-0 (25-16, 25-20, 25-15).

Emmalee Sheeler had 16 assists and two aces and Veronica Benini chipped in for five kills, five digs and three aces for the Lady Terrors.

CAMERON COUNTY 3, SMETHPORT 2

SMETHPORT, Pa. – Kaelee Bresslin had 10 kills and nine digs as Cameron County held on to defeat Smethport, 3-2 (25-18, 25-27, 25-19, 28-30, 15-6).

Morgan Lorenzo tallied four aces and Alyvia McKimm led the Lady Raiders with 13 assists.

PORT ALLEGANY 3, AUSTIN 0

AUSTIN, Pa. – Twenty-two assists from Jenna Sprankle helped Port Allegany defeat Austin, 3-0 (25-11, 25-16, 25-14).

Kayla Pesock chipped in for eight kills and five digs, Kierra Keck had five kills and three blocks and Kalyn Naylor tallied six kills and a block for the Lady Gators.

Cerissa Glover had two kills, eight digs, a block and three aces for Austin with Taylor Brewer contributing five kills, nine digs and three blocks.

CRANBERRY 3, MONITEAU 0

SENECA, Pa. – Malliah Schreck had 12 kills and eight digs in Cranberry’s 3-0 (25-20, 25-17, 25-21) victory over Moniteau.

Emily Duncan had a game-high 26 assists for the Berries while Ava Ferringer had nine kills and a dig and Ally Young chipped in for 11 digs and a kill. Schreck also lad the team with three blocks.

Sam Broerman paced Moniteau with three kills.

A-C VALLEY 3, FOREST AREA 0

FOXBURG, Pa. – Thanks in part to 24 aces A-C Valley toppled visiting Forest Area, 3-0 (25-6, 25-3, 25-8).

Kaylie Merwin had eight aces for the Lady Falcons followed by Tarra Stefanacci, who had six. Kylee Eaton chipped in three and Hannah Farrington and Meah Ielase each had two. Ielase also had five kills with Olivia Boocks lead A-C Valley with six kills. Emily Wetzel chipped in 10 set assists and two digs, and Rachel Cullen had five digs.

CLARION 3, KEYSTONE 0

CLARION, Pa. – Dorothy Kalinowski’s 10 kills helped Clarion sweep past visiting Keystone, 3-0 (25-10, 25-15, 25-21).

Hailey Sintobin added five kills for the Lady Cats with Maddie Schill and Korrin Burns each chipping in four kills. Brenna Campbell ran the offense with 21 set assists and added five digs with KK Girvin recording a team-best six digs. Girvin also had three aces.

McKenna Kaye had five kills, a block and an assist for Keystone, which lost for the first time this year. Mandy Wingard had 18 digs and Danae Hurrelbrink six blocks.

KARNS CITY 3, VENANGO CATHOLIC 0

KARNS CITY, Pa. – Alyssa Stitt recorded 21 assists and 13 aces to lead Karns City to a 3-0 (25-7, 25-7, 25-11) win over visiting Venango Catholic.

Also for the Lady Gremlins, Emily Wolfe had six kills, four aces and three digs, Rayna Miller added five kills, Emma Clark seven aces and Emily Huff and Cassidy Nolan three kills apiece.

Chenoa Rudder had 15 digs for Venango Catholic with Lauren Ronchi adding three kills and three digs and Emmy Ekis nine digs and a kill.

UNION 3, NORTH CLARION 0

RIMERSBURG, Pa. – Bryn Davis had nine kills, Marli Hawk 16 digs and Morgan Cumberland 19 set assists to lead Union to a 3-0 (25-22, 25-19, 25-22) win over visiting North Clarion.

Dominika Logue added eight kills and five aces for the Golden Damsels with Vanessa Reddick chipping in three aces.
Megan Baumcratz had five kills, four digs and three aces for North Clarion. Kiara Stitt added 11 digs, Gabby Schmader 10 digs, Gabby DiDolce eight assists and five digs Quahah Seals three blocks and two kills and Dylen Mealy four blocks, two kills and three digs.

DUBOIS CENTRAL CATHOLIC 3, BROOKVILLE 2

DUBOIS, Pa. – DCC rallies from 2-0 deficit to defeat Brookville 3-2 (9-25, 15-25, 25-9, 25-22, 15-11).

Alyssa Bittner had 10 kills and six blocks while Ashley Wruble tallied four aces and 15 assists for the Lady Cardinals. Shay Gulvas had a game-high 25 assists and two aces and Jordy Kosko chipped in for eight kills and four blocks.

DUBOIS 3, BROCKWAY 0

BROCKWAY, Pa. – Kaylee Sadowski had an all-around strong match to help visiting DuBois to a 3-0 (25-10, 25-16, 25-11) win over Brockway.

Sadowski recorded six kills, three aces and 10 digs.

Also for the Lady Beavers, Kelli Hoffer had five kills and five digs and Cate Gregory ran the show with 23 set assists.

Mikayla Duffalo paced Brockway with five kills.

ST. MARYS 3, BRADFORD 2

BRADFORD, Pa. – St. Marys rallied from a 2-1 deficit to pick up a 3-2 (20-25, 25-21, 21-25, 25-19, 15-10) road win over Bradford.

Alexis Huber had 14 kills for Bradford with Laney Kahle adding 24 set assists.

St. Marys stats weren’t available.

GALETON 3, NORTHERN POTTER 0

GALETON, Pa. – Galeton took care of visiting Northern Potter in quick fashion, 3-0 (25-13, 25-11, 25-11).

Courtney Martin had 10 digs for NoPo with Megan Hyde adding four kills and six digs and Abigail Baker three kills and four digs.

RIDGWAY 3, ELK COUNTY CATHOLIC 0

RIDGWAY, Pa. – Ridgway swept visiting Elk County Catholic, 3-0 (25-12, 27-25, 25-20).

Taylor Newton led ECC with 12 kills with Hannah Barnett adding six kills.

Ridgway stats weren’t available.
