VOLLEYBALL

GALETON 3, NORTHERN POTTER 0

ULYSSES, Pa. – Makaya Shadle and Marika Lechler each had four kills to lift visiting Galeton to a 3-0 (25-21, 25-13, 25-16) win over Northern Potter Friday.

Shadle added 10 set assists and five aces for the Lady Tigers.

Kalie Cowburn paced Northern Potter with nine kills and six digs. Savannah Herring chipped in five kills and six digs and Jenna Hyde had 13 set assists, four aces, four digs and two kills.

PORT ALLEGANY 3, OLEAN (N.Y.) 0

OLEAN, N.Y. – Led by 16 set assists and two blocks from Jenna Sprankle visiting Port Allegany crossed state lines to beat Olean (N.Y.), 3-0 (25-11, 25-14, 25-13).

Kenzie Burr added six kills and 11 digs for the Lady Gators with Jannah Lathrop chipping in seven kills, Kierra Keck four kills and eight digs and Erin Stauffer 15 digs.

BOYS’ SOCCER

DUBOIS 4, BRADFORD 1

DUBOIS, Pa. – Behind Nico McDonald’s hat trick, DuBois beat visiting Bradford, 4-1, Saturday.

Nolan Bussell also scored for the Beavers, who got nine saves from Shadi Hassan.

Alex Marrone had the lone Bradford goal assisted by Colton Nichols. Evan Schmidt made 13 saves for the Owls.

COUDERSPORT 6, NORTHERN POTTER 1

ULYSSES, Pa. – Owen Chamber and Kamer Leopold each scored twice to lift visiting Coudersport to a 6-1 win at Northern Potter.

David Kurdick and Austin Lowery also scored for the Falcons, while Foster Kosa had the lone Northern Potter tally.

PORT ALLEGANY 3, EISENHOWER 0

PORT ALLEGANY, Pa. – Three different Port Allegany players scored to lead the Gators to a 3-0 win over visiting Eisenhower.

Payton Caden, Chris Bailey and Shawn McNeil all netted goals for the home team while Josh Mealy had four saves in getting the shutout.

FREEDOM 6, KARNS CITY 1

KARNS CITY, Pa. – Visiting Freedom scored four second-half goals to knock off Karns City, 6-1.

It could have been a lot worse if not for the school-record 37 saves made by Gremlins keepers Jake Weckerly against the WPIAL-ranked Bulldogs.

Dakota King scored Karns City’s lone goal on a pass from Nolan Riley.

GIRLS’ SOCCER

PORT ALLEGANY 1, EISENHOWER 0

PORT ALLEGANY, Pa. – Cailey Barnett scored the game’s lone tally, as Port Allegany beat visiting Eisenhower, 1-0.

Brianna Roys got the shutout in goal for the Lady Gators.

FREEDOM 4, KARNS CITY 1

KARNS CITY, Pa. – Michelea Watkins scored twice to lead visiting Freedom to a 4-1 win over Karns City.

Taylor Petroff and Lindsay Monac also scored for the Lady Bulldogs.

Haley Scherer had the lone goal for Karns City.
