VOLLEYBALL

A-C VALLEY 3, CRANBERRY 0

FOXBURG, Pa. – Behind 10 kills, three digs, three aces and a block from Josie Terwilliger, A-C Valley shrugged off its first loss of the season Tuesday to sweep past visiting Cranberry Thursday, 3-0 (25-14, 25-14, 25-9).

Kylie Eaton added eight kills for the Lady Falcons, while Olivia Boocks chipped in four kills and six aces.

Malliah Schreck led Cranberry with seven kills, Bree Swartzfager added three kills and seven digs, Erin Merryman 10 set assists and Ellie Kahle six digs.

DUBOIS 3, BROCKWAY 0

BROCKWAY, Pa. – Danessa Allison, Lexi Ray and Kelli Hoffer combined for 24 kills, as visiting DuBois raced paced Brockway, 3-0 (25-9, 25-18, 25-15).

Allison led the way for the Lady Beavers with 10 kills, while Ray and Hoffer each had seven kills. Erin Crawford delivered four aces for DuBois, while Ashley McCluskey ran the offense with 21 set assists.

DUBOIS CENTRAL CATHOLIC 3, BROOKVILLE 1

DUBOIS, Pa. – Ashley Wruble had 25 set assists to help DuBois Central Catholic to a 3-1 (26-24, 15-25, 25-19, 25-23) win over visiting Brookville.

Macey Hanes (10 kills), Libby Maurer (8 kills) and Gabby Caruso and Alyssa Bittner (5 kills each) scored the points for the Lady Cardinals. Maddy Nasuti (4 aces), Bittner (2 aces) and Wruble (2 aces) all served well.

Rachael Gardner had a kill for Brookville, while Elliette Park had two aces

ELK COUNTY CATHOLIC 3, RIDGWAY 0

RIDGWAY, Pa. -Reilly Herzing and Cassidy Cunningham each had 10 kills to pace an easy 3-0 (25-7, 25-21, 25-15) win by visiting Elk County Catholic at Ridgway.

Kara Detsch set up the offense with 25 set assists, while Cunningham had four aces and Jordyn Fox and Herzing three aces apiece.

NORTH CLARION 3, KEYSTONE 0

KNOX, Pa. – Tori Obenrader had 17 kills and four blocks, as visiting North Clarion beat Keystone, 3-0 (25-19, 25-19, 25-16).

Cassie Wagner added seven kills, seven aces and six blocks for the She-Wolves, who also got five kills and four aces from Abby Karg, 15 set assists from Paige Sherbine and 12 set assists from Sydney Greenawalt.

Kaci Weaver paced Keystone with four kills. Makenzie Byerley had six set assists and two kills.

REDBANK VALLEY 3, MONITEAU 0

NEW BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Redbank Valley stayed unbeaten with a 3-0 (25-12, 25-13, 25-18) win over visiting Moniteau.

Macy King had six kills and three aces for the Lady Bulldogs, while Heather Traister added six kills, three blocks and three aces and Hannah Adams three kills and nine aces.

COUDERSPORT 3, AUSTIN 0

COUDERSPORT, Pa. – Ady Page had seven kills, four aces and 15 digs to help Coudersport breeze past visiting Austin, 3-0 (25-4, 25-7, 25-14).

Ally Easton also added seven kills, eight digs and four aces for the Lady Falcons, while Skyler VanWagenen chipped in six kills and three aces, Kiara Perkins four aces and Haley Keck two kills and three aces.

BRADFORD 3, ST. MARYS 1

BRADFORD, Pa. – Ashton McGriff had 15 kills, four digs, three blocks and two aces to help Bradford to a 3-1 (25-20, 25-9, 26-28, 25-14) win over visiting St. Marys.

Morgan Roggenbaum added 44 set assists, two kills, two digs and an ace for the Lady Owls, while Kam Piscitelli had 19 kills, eight digs, two aces and a block, Katie O’Neil four kills, a block and a dig, Morgan Tyger three kills, four digs and an ace and Hannah Woodell 10 digs and two aces.

KARNS CITY 3, CLARION-LIMESTONE 0

KARNS CITY, Pa. – Behind seven kills from Mackenzie Craig and five from Emily Hegedus, Karns City topped visiting Clarion-Limestone, 3-0 (25-9, 25-15, 25-15).

Brooke Moore added 14 set assists for the Lady Gremlins.

Erica Hetrick had three kills and seven digs for C-L with Olivia Shilling adding two kills, a block and an assist, Maddi Griffith two assists and two aces, Paige Aaron eight assists and an ace and Rachel Greeley two kills, a block and an ace.

GALETON 3, SMETHPORT 0

SMETHPORT, Pa. – Olivia Pagano and Madi Reiter combined for 21 kills, as visiting Galeton swept past Smethport, 3-0 (25-22, 25-17, 25-14).

Reiter had 11 kills for the Lady Tigers, while Pagano added 10 kills, six blocks and two aces. Makaya Shadle had 23 set assists and three aces, and Lauren Parsell added seven digs.

Abbey Woodard paced Smethport with seven kills and eight digs, Katie Treat chipped in seven kills and six digs and Alana Durphy 11 digs and two aces.

PORT ALLEGANY 3, CAMERON COUNTY 0

PORT ALLEGANY, Pa. – Behind six kills and four blocks from Hannah Lathrop, Port Allegany beat visiting Cameron County, 3-0 (25-15, 25-5, 25-11).

Mira Terrette added 15 set assists for the Lady Gators.

CLARION 3, FOREST AREA 0

TIONESTA, Pa. – Olivia Burns had 13 kills to lead Clarion to a 3-0 (25-10, 25-14, 25-13) win over Forest Area at West Forest.

Maya Thornton added nine kills and 18 service aces for the Lady Cats.

KANE 3, JOHNSONBURG 1

JOHNSONBURG, Pa. – Alyssa Zampogna recorded a kills/digs double-double to lead visiting Kane to a 3-1 (25-13, 19-25, 29-27, 25-22) win at Johnsonburg.

Zampogna had 15 kills, 10 digs, five aces and two blocks to lead the Lady Wolves, who also got nine kills and a block from Ella Marconi, eight kills, nine digs and an ace from Trinity Clark, 13 digs and 17 set assists from Ashley Jordan, nine digs, four aces and a kill from Sadie Tunall and seven digs and three aces from Marcie Stanisch.

NORTHERN POTTER 3, OSWAYO VALLEY 2

ULYSSES, Pa. – Gracie Hamilton and Kalie Cowburn each reached double digits in kills to lead Northern Potter to an exciting 3-2 (25-12, 13-25, 25-17, 22-25, 15-13) win over visiting Oswayo Valley.

Hamilton had 13 kills, 13 digs and four blocks with Cowburn adding 11 kills and 20 digs for the Lady Panthers. Also for NoPo, Jenna Hyde had six kills and 15 set assists and Tory Mccutcheon added eight kills, 13 set assists and 12 digs.

Tiffany Dickerson and Shayla Bickel each had nine kills for Oswayo Valley with Dickerson adding seven blocks, four digs and an ace and Bickel 22 digs. Also for the Green Wave, Sarah Malogrino had eight kills, 19 digs and three aces and Madison Miller had 36 set assists, 10 digs and two kills.

BELLEFONTE 3, CLEARFIELD 0

BELLEFONTE, Pa. – Despite five kills from Aspen Bishop and 10 digs from Justina Gaylor, visiting Clearfield dropped a 3-0 (25-21, 25-16, 25-21) decision at Bellefonte.

BOYS’ SOCCER

PORT ALLEGANY 4, EISENHOWER 0

RUSSELL, Pa. – Brandon McCaslin scored twice, and Josh Mealy made three saves to record his fourth shutout of the season, as visiting Port Allegany blanked Eisenhower, 4-0.

Payton Caden and Tyler Lashway also scored for the Gators.

BROCKWAY 1, ELK COUNTY CATHOLIC 1

ST. MARYS, Pa. – Brockway and Elk County Catholic dueled to a 1-all tie.

The lone goal scorer for Brockway was Zane Puhala.

The goal scorer for ECC was not reported.

NORTHERN POTTER 2, WILLIAMSON 2

TIOGA, Pa. – Northern Potter battled back from a 2-nil halftime deficit to earn a 2-all draw on the road against Williamson.

Williamson grabbed the halftime lead on goals by Colin Helibrun and Andrew Learn with Danny Medina assisting on the Learn tally.

But in the second half, Ryan Slawson took a pass from Holden Cowburn to cut the Panthers deficit in half, and then Tucker Kosa netted the equalizer.

BROOKVILLE 3, FOREST AREA 0

MARIENVILLE, Pa. – After a scoreless first half, visiting Brookville got three second-half goals to down Forest Area, 3-0, at East Forest.

Scoring for the Raiders were John Matheny, Alec Lachnacht and Brody Joiner with Joiner scoring on a penalty kick.

KARNS CITY 12, KEYSTONE 2

KNOX, Pa. – Spenser Myers and Noah Pollock each scored four times, as visiting Karns City rolled past Keystone, 12-2.

Pollock added four assists to his four tallies, while Jace Ebbitt and Marcus Lantz each tacked on a pair of goals for the Gremlins and Austin Rumbaugh a goal.

Brody Coleman scored twice for Keystone.

GIRLS’ SOCCER

RIDGWAY 3, CLARION 0

RIDGWAY, Pa. – Cassidy King scored twice, as Ridgway shut down visiting Clarion, 3-0.

King and Amanda Williams scored 20 seconds apart midway through a scoreless first half to get the Lady Elkers off an running, and then King added a second goal about six minutes later.

DUBOIS CENTRAL CATHOLIC 9, KEYSTONE 0

DUBOIS, Pa. – Riley Meyers and Jordy Frank each recorded hat tricks, as DuBois Central Catholic rolled to a 9-0 win over visiting Keystone.

Sabrina Spencer, Haley Pettenati and Caitlin Drahushak also scored for the Lady Cardinals.

REDBANK VALLEY 5, KANE 0

KANE, Pa. -Led by Reagan Neiswonger’s hat trick, Redbank Valley exploded for five second-half road goals to beat Kane, 5-0.

Brooke Eberle also scored twice for the Lady Bulldogs, while Alena Keller made six saves to get the shutout.

KARNS CITY 5, DUBOIS 0

KARNS CITY, Pa. – Moving up against bigger DuBois didn’t phase Karns City in the least, as Megan McCartney had the hat trick in a 5-0 Lady Gremlins win over the visiting Lady Beavers.

Haley Scherer and Chelsea Dodds also scored for Karns City.
