GIRLS’ SOCCER

BROCKWAY 6, BROOKVILLE 2

BROCKWAY, Pa. – BY scoring four goals in Brockway’s 6-2 win over visiting Brookville, Chanell Britten became the all-time leading scorer in Lady Rovers’ history with 138 tallies.

Britten came into the game needing one goal to tie the previous school mark of 135 set by Julie Esposito.

Morrigan Decker added a goal and an assist for Brockway with Amanda Decker also scoring and Danielle Wood and Morgan Lindemuth each adding a pair of assists. Emma Cavaline chipped in a helper for Brockway with Mackenzie Overbeck stopping 18 of 20 shots to get the win.

Madison McAninch scored both of Brookville’s goals.

REDBANK VALLEY 2, FOREST AREA 1, 2 OVERTIMES

NEW BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Carley Shick took a feed from Ember Hetrick and buried into the back of the net in the second overtime to lift Redbank Valley to a 2-1 win over visiting Forest Area.

Brooke Eberle scored off an assist from Rhiannon Laughlin for the Lady Bulldogs first goal.

CLEARFIELD 1, HUNTINGDON 0

HYDE, Pa. – Elle Smith’s unassisted goal early in the 73rd minute lifted Clearfield to a 1-0 win over visiting Huntingdon.

Hayley Moore made 12 saves to preserve the shutout for the Lady Bison, while Mallory Woodward made two saves for Huntingdon.

BOYS’ SOCCER

BROCKWAY 8, BROOKVILLE 0

BROCKWAY, Pa. – Nolan Swanson had a goal and two assists to help Brockway beat visiting Brookville, 8-0.

Joe Hertle, Marcus Bennett, Linkin Nichols, Noah Bash, Garrett Park, Alex Carlson and Chase Azzato also scored for the Rovers with Lewis Painter recording the shutout in goal.

REDBANK VALLEY 4, FOREST AREA 1

NEW BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Declan Fricko scored twice to help Redbank Valley top visiting Forest Area,. 4-1.

Jimmy Grundlach and Nick Moore also scored for the Bulldogs.

Luke Cussins had Forest Area’s goal assisted by Noah Burke. Braden Ochs made 14 saves for the Fires.

VOLLEYBALL

A-C VALLEY 3, CRANBERRY 2

SENECA, Pa. – Andrea Meals had 10 kills and four blocks to help A-C Valley rally for a 3-2 (25-23, 23-25, 18-25, 29-27, 15-12) road win over Cranberry.

Meah Ielase added nine kills and 19 digs for the Lady Falcons with Hannah Farrington chipping in eight kills and 19 digs. Emily Wetzel ran the offense for A-C Valley with 29 set assists and also had 24 digs, while Mia Sherman added a pair of blocks.

Ava Ferringer paced Cranberry with 15 kills and 25 digs with Abby Hanna adding 12 kills. Maddie Cornelius paced the Berries defense with 30 digs, while Kaylie Bruce had 29 digs. Emily Duncan ran the offense with 29 set assists and added seven kills and 11 digs.

REDBANK VALLEY 3, OIL CITY 1

NEW BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Behind nine kills, two aces and two blocks from Taylor King Redbank Valley beat visiting Oil City, 3-1 (27-29, 25-12, 25-12, 25-14).

Freshman Alivia Huffman added five kills and four aces for the Lady Bulldogs with Becca Kunselman chipping in 10 aces and Montana Hetrick five kills.
