Silfies spent six seasons with the Wolves from 2012-2017, winning 63 games while producing six District 9 title game appearances and three District 9 championships. He stepped down after the 2017 season.

He was named the D9Sports.com District 9 Coach of the Year in 2015 when he led Kane to a 12-1 overall record and its second straight District 9 Class 1A title despite having to replace seven offensive and six defensive starters from the 2014 title game including his starting quarterback and both starting running backs.

Silfies will hope to achieve similar success during his second tenure at Kane, a team coming off of a 2-4 season in 2020.
