The Youngsville Eagles, led by Greg Luther's 206 rushing yards, snowed
in the Kane Wolves, 33-6, in the regular season finale for both teams.
Youngsville took the Kane kickoff and proceeded to score on their first
play from scrimmage as Luther found an opening and raced 65 yards to
paydirt just 20 seconds into the game. The extra point kick was no
good but the Eagles led 6-0.
After going three and out, the Wolves punt rolled to the Eagle 15.
Nine plays later, Luther raced up the middle for a fifteen yard score.
Jamie Blum tacked on the conversion and Youngsville took a 14-0 lead with
5:13 to go in the first quarter.
The Eagles would score again with 41 seconds to go in the first half. Blum
caught a 10 yard pass from Jesse Walters, to make it 20-0 at the half.
The Wolves had a net of 0 yards at the half thanks to Youngsville's
defense.
Luther continued his onslaught in the third quarter with a beautiful 57
yard run through the snow to make it 27-0 with 9:31 to go in the third
quarter.
After Kane was forced to punt, Luther capped a long drive with a 35 yard
run to make it 33-0 with 2:O2 to go in the game.
The Wolves would finally score as their lone senior, Chris Defazio,ran 20
yards with 35 seconds to go in the game.
Youngsville finishes the season 3-6, the Wolves a disapppointing 1-8.
