KANE – The Kane Wolves used a high powered offensive attack and an attacking defense to down the boys from Paper City (Johnsonburg) by a score of 53-0 in Kane Friday night.

"Hats off to my assistants for a great week of preparation and to our players for their efforts through the week and on game night," Kane coach Richard Bouch said. "It was the first step for us in our goal of winning the AML South. We face another formidable opponent next week in Ridgway, and we must go down there to play which is not an easy task."

Mike Jamerson's 11 rushes for 75 yards and 4 TD's (and a blocked punt) and pin-point accurate passing by Tyler Smith, who was 12-for-17 for 195 yards and a touchdown led the Wolves

Kane set the tone early in this game as Smith hit on his first 10 passes.

The Wolves scored on their second possession with an 88-yard drive capped off by a 3-yard run by Jamerson, and Kane led 7-0 after one.

Jamerson added two more rushing TD's in the second quarter, while Smith remained dead accurate missing only two passes in the first half.

The receiving corps of Tim Smith, Hugh Rich and Justin Jefferds gives the Wolves one of the top set of receivers in the league.

Kane's defense was on top of their game on Friday as well stopping Burg's running game and forcing the Rams to go to the air.

Jamerson added a 6-yard TD run in the third quarter, and Justin Jefferds returned an interception for a TD. Smith hit Mike Sivak for a 25-yard TD, as the third quarter ended with Kane up 39-0.

Matt Burton dazzled the crowd on his 21-yard TD run in the fourth and Jordan Martin scored from three yards out for the 53-0 final.
