The Golden Tide (4-2 overall, 4-2 AML South) knew coming into the game that they most likely had to win out the rest of the season if they want to go to the District 9 Class A playoffs for the third straight year. Kane, meanwhile, blew a chance all but lock up their first ever AML South title. Collins needed 33 carries to get his yards, while McDonald was 4-for-5 passing for 67 yards and threw touchdowns passes to Greg Gilbert and Jeremy Strubble. SMETHPORT 25, EISENHOWER 12 SMETHPORT – It took four days for Smethport and Eisenhower to play their football game this week, but in the end the home crowd went home happy with the Hubbers coming out with a 25-12 victory. With three days to make adjustments, the Hubbers (3-3) came out and smoked the Knights (4-2) in the second half dampening Eisenhower’s shot at the AML North Title.
