HARRISBURG – Clarion-Limestone is ranked ninth in the state in Class A according to the Sept. 17 Pennsylvania high school football rankings from the Patriot-News of Harrisburg. The Lions (3-0), who were No. 10 last week, are the only District 9 team to be ranked during the regular season by the Patriot-News this year. Three other District 9 schools are listed as honorable mention for Week Three including Punxsutawney (3-0) in Class AAA, Brockway (3-0) in Class AA and Kane (3-0) in Class A. The nine teams ahead of C-L include in order Monaca (3-0), Rochester (2-1), Schulykill Haven (3-0), Farrell (1-2), Marian Catholic (2-1), Duquesne (3-0), Bishop Guilfoyle (3-0) and Winder (3-0). Pius X (2-1) is ranked No. 10 in Class A. C-L is at Keystone this week. Central Dauphin (3-) is ranked No. 1 in Class AAAA, Strath Haven (3-0) is ranked No. 1 in Class AAA, Mount Carmel (3-0) is ranked No. 1 in Class AA.
