The site covers athletics, primarily football in the fall and boys and girls basketball in the winter, within the PIAAs District 9. The site is not affiliated with the PIAA in any way. For more information on the site, please visit it or e-mail the staff at d9sportscom@hotmail.com. The Player of the Week award and the Honor Roll are chosen by the three founding members of D9Sports.Com. The awards can be given to any players playing on one of the 29 teams who compete in a District 9 League. Those 29 teams include four teams who are non-District 9 teams (Sheffield, Eisenhower, Youngsville and West Shamokin) but play more than 75 percent of their games against District 9 opponents and compete for District 9 league titles. The awards, which are given from Week One through Week Nine, are the only weekly awards given out in the District that represent the district as a whole. Honor roll members are listed alphabetically by school.
