14 players named to District 9 Honor Roll

SHIPPENVILLE – Coudersport’s John Gerhart and Mike Kehr are the co-D9Sports.com Football Players of the Week for the sixth week of the 2003 season after hooking up on one of the most electrifying plays of the season in a 14-10 win over Otto-Eldred Oct. 3.

Gerhart, a quarterback, hit Kehr, a wide receiver, with a 31-yard scoring pass with 1.7 seconds left in the game to lead the Falcons to the improbable victory moments after Otto-Eldred had hit a field goal to take the lead.

The amazing game-ending play weren’t the only reasons Gerhart and Kehr were chosen Co-Players of the Week. Both a superb games against the Terrors. Gerhart was 7-for-9 passing for 119 yards and two touchdowns, while Kehr had five catches for 100 yards and two scores.

Fourteen additional players playing in District 9 leagues (including three District 10 schools and one District 7 school) are also being honored this week as Honorable Mention recipients. Their names appear below listed alphabetically by school.
