HASKINS LEADS PORT ALLEGANY OVER KANE |

| KANE – Behind the both the running and defense of Claude Haskins, Port Allegany rallied from a
14-0 first quarter deficit to gain an 18-14 win over Kane in the season opener for both teams Friday night in Kane.
Haskins ran 31 times for 175 yards and two touchdowns, caught four passes for 46 yards and made 12 tackles to lead the Gators to the win. The game was marred by turnovers including six by Port Allegany on five lost fumbles, including two by Haskins, and an interception and four by Kane including two lost fumbles and two interceptions. Kane, though, was only able to turn one of the Port Allegany turnovers into points taking advantage of a first quarter fumble that set the Wolves up at the Port Allegany 5-yard run. One play later, Jake Anderson scored giving Kane a 6-0 lead. A 4-yard run by Anderson later in the quarter and a two-point conversion gave Kane the 14-0 lead. A 4-yard run by Haskins in the second quarter made it 14-6 at halftime. Port Allegany got to within two points on a 59-yard run by Jeremy Tanner in the third quarter, and the Gators gained the lead on an 11-yard run by Haskins in the fourth quarter. Craig Flint was 4-for-12 passing for 25 yards, while Willie Bova was 3-for-7 for 50 yards for Port Allegany.
