OCT. 10, 2003 - Brockway 14, Kane 0 |
KANE – Seth Rhed scored two touchdowns to lead Brockway to a 14-0 win over Kane and its first ever AML South
championship Friday night in Kane.
It is the first conference title for the Rovers since they won the Little 12 championship in 1987. Rhed scored on runs of 25 and 2 yards in the first half, and the Rover defense did the rest holding Kane to just 155 yards in the game. Brockway opened up the scoring with 3:29 left in the first quarter when Rhed broke a 25-yard touchdown run and an 8-0 lead thanks to an Andy Martino two-point conversion run. Then with 51 seconds left in the first half Rhed scored from two yards out to cap off the night’s scoring. Rhed finished the night with 11 carries for 60 yards, while Jeremy Sickeri added 14 totes for 94 yards and added an interception of defense. Quarterback John Himes was 4-for-13 passing for 67 yards and an interception. Kane was led by Mike Giordano’s 53 yards rushing on 16 carries. But Giordano was just 1-for-14 passing for 20 yards and two interceptions. BROCKWAY 14, KANE 0 B K |
