COUDERSPORT CLAIMS SECOND STRAIGHT AML NORTH TITLE

YOUNGSVILLE – Coudersport took advantage of four Youngsville turnovers to beat the Eagles 41-0 and win its second straight AML North title Friday night at Youngsville.

Coudersport (7-0 overall, 7-0 AML North) will face Brockway in the AML Title game in two weeks. Last season Coudersport lost to Kane in the AML Championship game.

David Babcock scored two rushing touchdowns for the Falcons who also got a rushing touchdown from Caleb Morris, a 27-yard scoring pass from John Gerhart to Mike Kehr and a 7-yard touchdown pass from Scott Easton to Ross Simcoe.

Babcock finished the night with 16 carries for 55 yards, while Simcoe had 10 for 51 and one catch for seven yards and the score.

Coudersport held Youngsville running back duo of Rob Theuret and Nathaniel Williams to 56 yards on 29 carries. Theuret had eight totes for 27 yards and Williams five for 27. Brian Brown was 0-for-7 passing and threw four interceptions.
