KANE 42, YOUNGSVILLE 22

KANE – Jordan Martin ran 17 times for 134 yards and two touchdowns and also returned a kickoff 91 yards for a touchdown to lead Kane to a 42-22 win over Youngsville Friday night at Kane.

Kyle Oakes added six carries for 35 yards and two scores, and Steve Chittester rushed 17 times for 89 yards, as Kane (6-3) outrushed Youngsville 255-35.

Most of the Eagles (2-7) damage came uncharacteristically through the air. Youngsville passed for 234 yards after only throwing for 357 yards total in the first eight weeks.

Brian Brown accounted for 210 of those yards on 13-for-24 passing. He threw two touchdowns, the first two touchdowns thrown by Youngsville this season.

Ben Seeley had two catches for 90 yards and a score, while Ben McGraw had six for 57 and a touchdown. Nathaniel Williams added four grabs for 68 yards.

On defense, Williams has 12 tackles to lead Youngsville, while McGraw and Darrell Beahon each had 11. McGraw also had two sacks.

For Kane, Jared Cecchetti had 17 tackles, nine of them solo, two sacks and two caused fumbles. Jim Costanzo and Ted Slater each added 11 tackles.

Youngsville’s season is over, while Kane visits Keystone Friday at 7 p.m.

EISENHOWER 23, CAMERON COUNTY 7

EMPORIUM – Bart Moon ran for 96 yards and a touchdown and threw for 73 more yards to lead Eisenhower to a 23-7 win over Cameron County Friday night at Cameron.

Moon scored the Knights third touchdown on a 24-yard run that gave Eisenhower a 23-0 lead. Mark Collins – 3-yard run – and Brysten Jones – 8-yard run – also scored for Eisenhower. Jason Passinger hit a 32-yard field goal for the Knights with four seconds left in the first half.

Eric Campbell scored Cameron County’s lone touchdown on a 7-yard pass from Kyle Vogt with 20 seconds left in the game.

KARNS CITY 74, UNION 13

RIMERSBURG – Josh Fiscus scored five touchdowns to lead Karns City to a 74-13 win over Union Friday night in Rimersburg.

Fiscus scored on runs of 19, 6, 11 and 42 yards and also returned an interception 33 yards for a touchdown, as Karns City had 527 yards of offense.

Korey Hawk led Union with nine carries for 165 yards and two touchdowns including runs of 80 and 50 yards. Adam Milanovich was 7-for-13 passing for 64 yards and two interceptions, while Jeremy Craig had five catches for 52 yards while setting a school record with 43 catches in a year eclipsing the previous mark of 41 set by Josh Carmichael in 1999.

PUNXSUTAWNEY 26, WEST SHAMOKIN 12

NuMINE – Zach Bernat scored three second-half touchdowns to lead Punxsutawney to a 26-12 come-from-behind win over West Shamokin Friday night at West Shamokin.

West Shamokin (2-7) led 6-0 at halftime thanks to a 10-yard pass from Trevor Henderson to Jerry Wilson.

Bernat’s first touchdown gave Punxsutawney (2-6) an 8-6 lead early in the second half, but a 5-yard run by Henderson made it 12-8 West Shamokin.

But Bernat scored twice more in the fourth quarter on runs of 3 and 24 runs sandwiched around a 37-yard run by Devon Mesoraco.

Bernat ran 26 times for 154 yards, while Mesoraco had 13 for 142.

Henderson was 13-for-35 passing for 232 yards but 230 of those came in the first half.

ERIE STRONG VINCENT 42, BRADFORD 7

ERIE – Erie Strong Vincent had no problems with an injury depleted Bradford team that was playing without 3/5 of its offensive line gaining a 42-7 win over the Owls Friday night in Erie.

Sean Hvizdzak led Bradford (7-2), who has lost two in a row, with 19 carries for 64 yards. Dave Snyder added 11 totes for 41 yards.

BROOKVILLE 48, MEADVILLE 14

BROOKVILLE – Nick Heschke ran for three touchdowns and passed for a fourth to lead Brookville to a 48-14 win over Meadville Friday night in Brookville.

Heschke ran six times for a game-high 138 yards and went 7-for-13 passing for 97 yards and a score.

Ryan Wilson led Meadville with 20 carries for 116 yards including a 56-yard scoring run.

The game also featured two returns for touchdowns, as Meadville’s Joe Schenberg returned a kickoff 75 yards for a score and Brookville’s Cliff Park had a 57-yard punt return for six points.

PHILIPSBURG-OSCEOLA 34, ST. MARYS 13

PHILLIPSBURG – Philipsburg-Osceola built a 27-7 halftime lead and cruised to a 34-13 win over visiting St. Marys Friday night.

St. Marys (0-9) scored on a 1-yard Adam Geer run and a 46-yard pass from Lucas Wendel to Lopaka Hoohuli. Brian Cogley ran 18 times for 62 yards, while Wendel was 8-for-16 passing for 110 yards, 1 touchdown and 2 interceptions. Hoohuli had four grabs for 84 yards.

PORT ALLEGANY 21, ELK COUNTY CATHOLIC 14

ST. MARYS – Port Allegany escaped with a 21-14 win over Elk County Catholic Friday night in St. Marys.

While the Gators (8-1) survived the game, they could be hurt going into the District 9 Class A playoffs as the district’s leading rusher Claude Haskins suffered an injury. The extent of the injury was not available, but he did not return.

Before getting hurt, Haskins scored twice – once on a run and once on a pass – to help Port Allegany build a 21-0 lead after three quarters.

ECC (1-8) tried to rally in the fourth quarter scoring on a 2-yard run by Anthony Tettis and a 32-yard run by Tettis.

Haskins ran 10 times for 46 yards, while Cody Anderson had 14 for 40 and a touchdown.

Tettis ran 16 times for 46 yards to lead ECC.

CLARION 8, A-C VALLEY 6

CLARION – Corey Corbett’s 26-yard touchdown run and Dave Larson’s 2-point conversion run with 2:02 left in the game lifted Clarion to an 8-6 win over A-C Valley Friday night at Clarion.

A-C Valley (1-8) had a chance at the upset thanks to a 45-yard punt return for a touchdown by Luis Goncalves in the second quarter.

Colt Burk led all rushers with 15 carries for 121 yards, while Chris McSwain led Clarion (6-3) with 16 carries for 44 yards. Corbett added 44 yards on just three carries.

CURWENSVILLE 59, SHEFFIELD 20

CURWENSVILLE – Curwensville scored 28 second quarter points on its way to a 36-0 halftime lead and a 59-20 win over Sheffield Friday night at Curwensville.

Greg Gilbert and Shawn Sopic each scored twice for the Golden Tide (3-6), who led 59-0 at one point.

Gilbert scored on a 46-yard punt return and a 10-yard pass from Sopic, while Sopic scored on runs of 7 and 2 yards.

RIDGWAY 48, SMETHPORT 32

RIDGWAY – Tim Wright scored three touchdowns to lead Ridgway to a 48-32 win over Smethport Friday night at Ridgway.

Wright scored on runs of 4, 6 and 2 yards while running 12 times for 87 yards.

Beau Iorfido led Ridgway with 14 carries for 111 yards and one touchdown.

Ben Rothermel ran 18 times for 120 yards to lead Smethport, who trailed 42-13 before ending the game on a 19-6 spurt.

Matt Clark scored twice on a 42-yard pass from Matt Switzer and an 86-yard kickoff return.

OTTO-ELDRED 27, JOHNSONBURG 15

JOHNSONBURG – Ryan Little scored two touchdowns to lead Otto-Eldred (6-3) to a 27-15 win over Johnsonburg Friday night in Johnsonburg.

Little scored on an 8-yard run and a 42-yard pass from Luke Breese.

Virgil Graham ran 24 times for 212 yards to led the Terrors, while Breese was 8-for-25 passing for 138 yards.

Anthony Imbrogno went 13-for-33 for 167 yards for Johnsonburg and went over 1,000 yards passing on the season.

Lincoln Shreffler caught six passes for 74 yards and Eric Iorfido six for 72 and a score for the Rams (2-7).

REDBANK VALLEY 35, KEYSTONE 34, OVERTIME

KNOX – Brock Shaffer’s extra point following Bryce Miller’s 10-yard run in overtime lifted Redbank Valley to a 35-34 win over Keystone Friday night at Keystone.

Keystone had scored first in the extra session on a 4-yard Sam Swartzfager run but missed the extra point after a 5-yard penalty had made it a 15-yard attempt.

Redbank Valley trailed 21-7 midway through the second quarter and 28-14 at the end of the third quarter. But the Bulldogs (5-4) rallied on two Shane Reed touchdown passes in the fourth quarter to force overtime.

Reed hit Tyson Truitt with a 14-yard pass with 9:17 left and then found Brandon Doverspike with a 37-yard scoring strike with just 1:17 left. Shaffer hit both extra points.

Buck Neely ran 11 times for 116 yards and three touchdowns to lead Keystone, while Sam Swartzfager added 19 carries for 165 yards and two touchdowns including a 98-yard scoring run.

Miller caught four passes for 107 yards to lead Redbank Valley, while Truitt had four for 70. Reed was 14-for-26 passing for 254 yards and three touchdowns. Skyler Smith ran 20 times for 74 yards.
