DUBOIS' LIDDLE D9SPORTS.COM DISTRICT 9 FOOTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK FOR WEEK FIVE 2005

15 additional players on Honor Roll
SHIPPENVILLE – DuBois’ Ryan Liddle is the D9Sports.com District 9 Football Player of the Week for Week 5 of the 2005 season.

Liddle played a key role in the Beavers (5-0) 33-21 upset at Erie McDowell, who was ranked No. 10 in the state in Class AAAA by the Harrisburg Patriot-News. He was 12-for-18 passing for 100 yards and a touchdown, ran 13 times for 92 yards and a touchdown and intercepted a pass on defense that set up a Beaver score. His 7-yard scoring pass to Rob Hanzely with 6:50 left in the game gave DuBois its first lead since early in the second quarter (26-21).

Once again, the competition for Liddle was great with top performances coming from Smethport’s Josh Switzer (134 yards rushing, 4 TD’s), Bradford’s Ben Walter (184 yards passing, 2 TD’s including game-winner late), Clarion-Limestone’s Scott Davis (187 yards passing, 1 TD, 56 yards rushing) and Karns City’s Stephen Black (84 yards passing, 2 touchdowns, 73 yards rushing).

Switzer, Walter, Davis and Black are joined by 11 additional players on the District 9 Honor Roll this week. The honor roll recipients are listed below in alphabetical order by school.

Liddle is the second DuBois player to win the award this year (Mark Malacarne won in Week 3).
