A couple of minutes later, Davis found Hetrick with a 9-yard scoring strike that coupled with Davis’ 2-point conversion run made it 16-0 with 10:58 left in the first half.

Midway through the second quarter, the Lions made it 20-0 on a 1-yard run by Brooks, and C-L took the 20-0 lead into the half.

In the second half, both teams played even in a scoreless third quarter.

C-L was finally able to put the game way 1:17 into the fourth when Brooks scampered in from 13 yards out to put the Lions ahead 28-0.

A 2-yard run/dive by Davis with 7:59 left capped the scoring.
