SHIPPENVILLE – Clearfield’s Adam Jury is the D9Sports.com District 9 Football Player of the Week for Week Two
of the 2006 season.
Jury had a huge week in Clearfield’s come-from-behind 39-35 D9 League win at Brookville Friday night. He caught nine passes for 130 yards, had one carry for six yards and was 1-for-1 passing for 60 yards and a touchdowns. He added a fumble recovery on defense. Strong competition for the Player of the Week award came from Karns City’s Matt McConnell (2 field goals, game winner in overtime), Punxsutawney’s Mike Smiley (169 yards rushing, 29 yards receiving, 2 touchdowns) and Coudersport’s Chris Cavallari (227 yards rushing, 4 touchdowns). McConnell, Smiley and Cavallari join 13 additional players in making up the District 9 Honor Roll this week. The honor roll recipients are listed below in alphabetical order by school.
