COUDERSPORT – The Johnsonburg at Coudersport District 9 Class A semifinal game schedule for
Friday night has been postponed to Saturday afternoon and has been moved to Clarion University’s Memorial
Stadium.
Recent rain and potentially standing water at the Coudersport Area Recreational Park forced the moving of the game, which will now be played at Noon as the first of an unprecedented District 9 semifinals tripleheader at Memorial Stadium. The other Class A semifinal game between Curwensville and Redbank Valley will follow at approximately 2:30 p.m., which is a half hour later than the announced starting time of 2 p.m. The game was originally scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday night at Redbank Valley but was also moved because of field conditions. The final game of the night will be at 7 p.m. when Brockway meets Brookville in the Class AA semifinals. That game was originally set for 6:30 p.m. Friday in Brookville but was moved Thursday to Clarion because of field conditions. This marks the first time District 9 will have three football games all in the same location. The District has been played up to five basketball games in one day at Clarion University’s Tippin Gym during the postseason but has never played more than two games at the same location on the same day in football. One admission fee will apply for all three games. |
