Information for this story came from the Clearfield Progress HYDE – For the second straight week, the Clearfield Bisons managed a double-digit fourth-quarter comeback. The Bisons (2-1) trailed 35-25 with 7:58 remaining in the game, but rallied for two touchdowns to notch a 38-35 win over the visiting Indians (1-2). Isiah Morgan’s 5-yard run with 1:22 left provided the winning margin after the point-after kick missed. Last week, the Bisons beat the Brookville Raiders 39-35 after trailing 11 points with under seven minutes left in the game. Quarterback Andrew Janocko completed 20 of 28 passes for 276 yards with an interception. For the second straight game, he didn’t throw a TD pass, but he did run for three touchdowns despite being limited to minus-15 yards on 10 attempts (he was sacked four times). Tight end Adam Jury caught 13 balls for 164 yards and threw a 36-yard pass that was instrumental in the Bisons’ four-play scoring drive following IV’s touchdown at the 7:58 mark. Doug Kephart caught five Janocko passes for 109 yards. Morgan rushed for 100 yards on 26 carries and two touchdowns. The Bisons cut the deficit to 35-32 when Morgan scored from five yards out, capping a four-play, 27-second drive. On the ensuing possession, IV had a scoring run called back on a holding penalty which eventually forced the Indians to punt. Then, the Bisons put together an 88-yard scoring drive that was capped by Morgan’s second TD run. Indian Valley outgained Clearfield, 402-400, in the wild affair. Nam Shartzer rushed for 127 yards to lead Indian Valley.
