Port Allegany (2-6, 2-6) led 8-7 at halftime thanks to a safety and a 73-yard touchdown run by Mark Larson, but Otto took the lead for good on a 2-yard Tod Chaffee run followed by a Travis Bair to Anthony Marrone two-point conversion pass. The Gators got to within a point on a 1-yard Derick Morey quarterback sneak later in the third quarter, but as bad snap on the extra point cost them the tie. O’Brien scored on runs of 79 and 55 yards in the first quarter to help the Owls (6-2 overall, 4-1 D9 League) to the victory. It is the Golden Tides (7-1 overall, 7-1 AML South) AML South title in the past seven years.
