SHIPPENVILLE – After throwing for over 200 yards and five touchdowns, Moniteau’s Tyler Armagost is the first D9Sports.com District 9 Football Player of the Week for the 2007 season. The Warrior junior had a sensational season debut in Moniteau’s 39-6 win over Clarion-Limestone Friday night. He was 13-for-25 passing for 233 yards and five touchdowns while carrying the ball seven times for 49 yards. Armagost is the first player from Moniteau to earn District 9 Player of the Week honors in seven years. The last Warrior to earn the award was Bill Staab for his performance Sept. 29, 2000. Â Armagost’s performance wasn’t the only outstanding one this week as 15 additional players make up the District 9 Honor Roll. The honor roll recipients are listed below in alphabetical order by school. D9Sports.Com is an entirely volunteer web site in its eighth year of covering athletics within the PIAA’s District 9 located at www.d9sports.com. The site is not affiliated with the PIAA in any way.
