SHIPPENVILLE – A pair of junior quarterbacks – Clearfield’s Jarrin Campman and Karns City’s Anthony Stimac – are the D9Sports.com District 9 Co-Football Players of the Week for Week Seven of the 2007 season. Campman was instrumental in Clearfield’s 19-13 come-from-behind win at previously unbeaten Indian Valley Friday night. He was 15-for-26 passing for 204 yards and two touchdowns while also running for a touchdown. He threw the game-winning touchdown pass to Drew Hipps with 2:11 seconds left breaking a 13-all tie. The touchdown pass came at the end of a seven-play, 93-yard drive. Campman then sealed the victory for the 4-3 Bisons when he intercepted an Indian Valley pass in the final minutes. Stimac was the key figure in Karns City’s dominating 39-19 win at Moniteau in a battle of KSAC unbeatens Friday night. He was 8-for-17 passing for 206 yards, two touchdowns and an interceptions while also running 10 times for a team-high 69 yards and a score. He threw for two touchdowns and ran for a third in the second quarter helping the Gremlins (7-0) break a 7-all tie with 25 unanswered points in the quarter. Campman’s selection marks the 11th time a Clearfield player has been named Player of the Week since the award’s inception in 2000. Stimac, meanwhile, becomes the first Karns City player to earn the award. In addition to the co-Players of the Year, 15 additional players are members of the District 9 Honor Roll this week. The honor roll recipients are listed below. D9Sports.Com is a volunteer web site in its eighth year of covering athletics within the PIAA’s District 9 located at www.d9sports.com.
