SHIPPENVILLE – A pair of quarterbacks who led their teams to victory Friday night are the RRR Roadhouse D9sports.com District 9 Football Co-Players of the Week for Week Nine of the 2007 season.

Clearfield’s Jarrin Campman and Otto-Eldred’s Travis Bair share the award this week after each put on highlight reel performances in their respective team’s wins.

Campman, who has earned at least a share of the award for the third straight week, had a monster night in Clearfield’s 49-26 win over visiting Huntingdon. He had a hand in all seven Bison touchdowns throwing for three, running for three and returning an interception for a score. He finished the night 19-for-27 passing for 255 yards and three touchdowns while running 19 times for 76 yards and three scores. He is the first player to win the award three weeks in a row since Clearfield’s Dave Richards took four straight awards in 2002. Clearfield players have now won 13 Player of the Week honors, the most of any team in District 9.

Bair, meanwhile, is the first-ever Otto-Eldred recipient of the award. He made a lot of people in Clarion, St. Marys and Curwensville happy when he led the Terrors to a 32-26 upset win at Ridgway Friday night that eliminated the Elkers from the District 9 Class A playoff race while opening the door for Elk County Catholic to get in and Clarion and Curwensville to have a shot at the final spot this week. Playing well on both sides of the football, Bair was 11-for-18 passing for 167 yards and three touchdowns throwing the game-winning touchdown pass to Kurtis Breese with 4:16 left to play. He added 15 carries for 100 yards and a touchdown and intercepted two passes on defense.

In what might go down as the best week ever for offensive stat leaders in District 9, Bair and Campman got competition from three 200-yard rushers (Cameron County’s Cameron Clingan; Elk County Catholic’s Eric Mastrogiacomo and Smethport’s Preston Birtcil).

Those three players join 12 additional players as members of the RRR Roadhouse District 9 Honor Roll this week. The honor roll recipients are listed below.
