QUESTION & ANSWER
Q: Redbank Valley runs a very wide-open offense. How would you best describe the offense? Is it more of a spread offense or more run-and-shoot or a little of both? Or is it something totally different?
A: I would say we run a mixture of the spread and the run and shoot. We still run some our old run and shoot plays as well as some new spread plays.

Q: As the quarterback in the offense you run, how important is it for you to be able to read what the other team is doing? Do you have a lot of calls that you have to make at the line, or are the plays pretty much set when they come in?
A: Most of the plays are set when they come in, but my job is to change some of them if we can’t run that particular play against the defense I see or if another play gives a better chance because of better numbers.

Q: You are also a very good defensive player in the secondary. Which side of the football do you enjoy playing more on and why?
A: I like to play defense because you don’t have to think nearly as much, but if I had to pick one it would definitely be quarterback.

Q: Despite you guys making it to the District 9 Class A semifinals last year and starting this year at 5-1 with the only loss being to Karns City, you don’t get a lot of mention when people talk about the contenders for the Class A title. Does this bother you? Or do you enjoy flying under the radar a little bit?
A: I think it’s because we have been a Class “AA” team for so long, some people might not realize that we’re now single “A”.  I think the team plays a little harder knowing we have something to prove.

Q: What are your plans after high school?
A: To attend a college or university and play football at the next level.
