LEWISTOWN – Drew Hipps caught a 21-yard touchdown pass from Jarrin Campman capping a 7-play, 93-yard drive with 2:11 left to play to lead visiting Clearfield to a come-from-behind 19-13 upset of previously unbeaten Indian Valley Friday night.

The Bisons (4-3 overall, 3-2 MAC Large School Division) trailed 13-0 late in the third quarter before tying the game on two touchdowns 1:22 apart late in the quarter.

That set up the long drive, possibly the drive-of-the-year in District 9, that ended on Hipps’ touchdown catch in the corner of the end zone, the second of the game and 10th of the season for the leading receiver in District 9 entering the night.

Indian Valley (6-1, 4-1) had one last chance to tie or win the game, but Campman picked off a Jarrett Kratzer pass to seal the victory.

The game was scoreless at halftime, but Indian Valley seemed to take control of the contest with two third-quarter touchdowns.

Jay Hartman put the Warriors on the scoreboard with a 21-yard scoring run 57 seconds into the second half making it 7-0.

The Warriors then went ahead 13-0 midway through the quarter on a 3-yard run by Thad Rosenberry.

But Clearfield, as its adapt to do, rallied cutting the lead to 13-7 on a 1-yard Campman run with just over 3:30 to play in the third quarter.

Clearfield then caught a break when Indian Valley fumbled, and Clearfield recovered the ball at the Indian Valley 34-yard line.

That set up a 13-yard touchdown pass from Campman to Hipps that tied the score at 13. Clearfield missed an opportunity to take the lead when Parker Herrington’s extra point was blocked.

Campman had a solid night for Clearfield going 15-for-26 passing for 204 yards and two touchdowns with David Ryan catching five passes for 92 yards. Toby Young ran 12 times for 75 yards as leading rusher Isiah Morgan carried the ball just one time for negative 1 yards. There was no word as to if Morgan was hurt in the game.

Rosenberry led all rushers with 14 carries for 186 yards for Indian Valley.
